This book is about how he evolved from an upper crust snob into a President who alleviated the distress of the citizens by pushing for programs that provided relief and instilled hope.
The narration throughout, by The inimitable Grover Gardner, is on point and clear.
An excellent listen.

A romance for art lovers

Set in the 14th century, at the cusp of representational art and religious upheaval, this is about the struggle of a woman to manifest her talent and passion in the early renaissance. Detailed descriptions of the meticulous preparation and technique of painting are blended with the story elements. A good read and listening experience.

Held my interest, but had some holes in the plot

Reading was good, plot had few holes, especially when the morality of a Dispatcher is considered. How were the Dispatchers chosen, what were their talents that suited them to the task. Can the premise of this book be true in any sense? Still this is a thought provoking, well narrated book.

This is the best reading of one of the great moral tales. Tim Curry is expressive, sympathetic, and spot on in his characterizations. A wonderful experience for the holiday season, thank you Amazon.

Entertaining, thought provoking listen and read

A hard to stop reading/listening, involving book with a time travel premise. The narrator is skilled and his believable voice characterizations help to move the story along. A layered story with many present-day inferences, this is a well plotted tale with no loose strings to unravel its structure, unlike most time-travel books. It is well worth buying and is a bargain for Prime members.
