Millenial cringe humor

The only issue i have is that all the humor in it is very millennial cringe humor. I am gen z for reference. Otherwise i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great book, performance wasn’t impressive

I loved the story, however the performance was not what it could have been. Most of the time their reading was very monotonous and it sounded very unnatural. It’s not so bad that I wouldn’t recommend this to others but it definitely bothered me. The story is worth the listen for sure

Not my thing

To me it feels like a worse version of ACOTAR, there are sooo many parallels between the two(tall, rebellious, dark-haired, shadow-controlling, tatted-up, male love interest for example) However, all my friends who didn’t like ACOTAR really liked this book. I personally found it super predictable and found all the characters unlikable and uninteresting. I found myself rolling my eyes at the romance(although i think i would have loved it if i were 18 not 25). It was a fun story to listen to and i will probably read the sequel but only so i can give a well informed critique of the series

The story was predictable and all the jokes were very millennial cringe, like all the “i need coffee” bits had me rolling my eyes every time. You’ll probably like it if you were born before 1990

Horrible plot

I could not stop rolling my eyes every time there was a new plot twist. Everything was just so over the top and ridiculous that i could barely get through listening to the story. The spicy parts were fine, but not worth reading the whole book for them. If you’re looking for dark romance with a strong plot I suggest HD Carlton, because her books don’t sacrifice the plot for the sake of the spicy parts.

So freaking good, i feel like sequels are always kind of a let down but this exceeded all my expectations and then some, I HIGHLY recommend it

Really enjoyed listening to this one, the narrator was really good, but i wish they had a woman doing the voices of the girls in the story. Of course the story was great, slow in the beginning but it had a killer ending(pun intended)
