Good story, vanilla romance
Revisado: 07-07-23
I really liked the premise of the story, it’s unique & interesting but the sex scenes were boring & not even bdsm, Very vanilla. He gives into her to so not even denying. Sex was rushed. I thought the narrators were ok. Strange they were British for “Greek gods”. I did enjoy this book & would recommend but not as steamy as I thought it would be.

A great MMF story with a actual plot is hard to find
Revisado: 07-01-23
This was a easy to listen to steamy story. Good story plot & interesting easy to follow sex scenes. The sex was well placed & not forced or overdone. Interesting premise with Hot scenes. The narrator was ok, a little too girlie imo but ok. She read the sex scenes well. Love a good reverse harem with strong men that aren’t violent. Would recommend this “cozy” adult romance book.

I thought Peter Pan was a myth and Neverland a fairy tale. A story spun by my mother who had lost her mind a long time ago. But there was no denying the overwhelming shadow cast by Peter Pan when he was standing in my house.

Slow beginning
Revisado: 04-20-23
I read Acotar & liked that series but was bored by the first book for the first 1/3 & then it finally got better. Same thing here. This book was so hard to get into, just too much meaningless detail & drudgery. In the end it was worth the read. Decent story idea, decent characters. Interesting future & intrigue for next book. I wish it had more spice.

Wtf was that?? Cringe cringe & more cringe
Revisado: 04-07-23
Ive read the Anita Blake books religiously, but the last 5 have been getting increasing bad. Too much strife not enough plot. Ugh so many therapy references …. JC It’s a fantasy book I’m trying to escape reality & have some fun. The cringe phrases like lookey Lou’s used repeatedly. Gag what about fairyanthropy Where’s the old smolder? Where’s any smolder? Where’s The great sex scenes? Hell where’s the plot? What happened to the ending??? This book was a mess. I want my money back. I want to punch Ash & Kane in the face I’m sick of them kill them all ready & the whining sister guard. I’m sick of those boring plot lines. I’m sick of the bickering, It’s boring, & annoying. Bring back the old Anita Blake formula, there’s a monster killing people go kill it, & meanwhile bang a ton of hot guys along the way. It worked why ruin it?? So frustrating. This was by far the worst thing I’ve ever read from Hamilton. Don’t waste your money if you feel you need to read borrow it from the library so you can return it & never see it again.

Acotar isn’t what I expected-kinda slow
Revisado: 02-07-23
Interesting premise, A little slow. A little more YA than I’d prefer. Narrator was excellent. I had a hard time liking Feyre. Total lack of romance or anything close to “love” between Tamlin & Feyre but they can’t live with each other at the end? Felt forced. I also hated that Feyre used sayings like my bowels went watery (too much) & yet couldn’t read. Unbelievable to me. Why didn’t the sisters teach her? I read this bc it got a ton of great reviews it was good not great & I’m hoping book 2 gets better.

I don’t know why I continue to bother
Revisado: 03-27-21
Too much boring detailed explaining. The sex has gotten boring to nonexistent. Too much annoying arguing instead of action. The ending is totally predictable. Just not the same delicious Anita Blake as in the first 10 books. This had potential to be good, sadly it wasn’t. I’m not sure if Hamilton’s heart is in it anymore. She was my absolute favorite author in the beginning of the series. Super disappointing. I paused this book so many times because I found better things to do with my time. That never used to happen, I’d loose sleep to finish her novels. I miss Jean-Claude, I miss vampire magic, I miss the shocking amazing sex. And how long is it going to take to marry?!!? I keep trying the books Out hoping to re-ignite the spark of sexy fun again but sadly I’m disappointed each time. I can’t remember the last time I really enjoy a AB book, The last time I laughed, was shocked, was filled with desire while reading these books. It’s been a long while. Sigh

Narrator sucks
Revisado: 12-03-17
I love this theme and time period for a book plot, but the narration killed it for me. I've listened to her before and her voice makes me want to scratch my ears off! There are so many melodic narrators out there perfect for these roles, but she ruins some of my favorite books for me. She makes every female sound like a ninny. Every time she mispronounces a word a kitten dies. Authors, stop allowing this lady to read your art! Like nails on a chalkboard!
