Historia
Laid off from her department store job, Carmen has perilously little cash and few options. The prospect of spending Christmas with her perfect sister Sofia, in Sofia’s perfect house with her perfect children and her perfectly ordered yuppie life, does not appeal. Frankly, Sofia doesn’t exactly want her prickly sister Carmen there, either. But Sofia has yet another baby on the way, a mother desperate to see her daughters get along, and a client who needs help revitalizing his shabby old bookshop. So Carmen moves in and takes the job.

Quirky & fun
Revisado: 02-17-23
This was a nice light hearted story that was full of laughter. I found myself wanting to hear what was going to happen next!

Historia
At the center of Home Again is Madelaine - a brilliant cardiologist, a loving mother, a tender friend, and a woman full of self-doubt. It is also the story of her confused and angry daughter, Lina, and of the two very different men Madelaine loves: Francis, a priest searching for his faith, and Angel, a talented but cynical man with a broken heart. When tragedy suddenly brings them all together, they must learn to forgive the betrayals of the past and find the courage to love again.

Wanted to love it...
Revisado: 06-09-20
I like a good story and wanted to love to it... but it was just to predictable. In every chapter as the narrator (who did a good job for the characters) spoke or read the sentence I was thinking “ of course “ or “seriously.” More twist and turns would have made this book better. I finished it because it was part of a book club and I hoped for a better ending...
I won’t choose unfortunately another Kristin Hannah book unless I hear RAVE reviews

Historia
When white supremacist Wade Michael Page murdered six people and wounded four in a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin in 2012, Pardeep Kaleka was devastated. The temple leader, now dead, was his father. His family, who had immigrated to the US from India when Pardeep was young, had done everything right. Why was this happening to him? Arno Michaelis, a former skinhead and founder of one of the largest racist skinhead organizations in the world, knew he had to take action and fight against the very crimes he used to commit.

To forgive is divine
Revisado: 12-11-19
This is amazing story. As a survivor of GV I cannot forgive the person who shot and killed my son yet I commend and understand Pardeep’s longing to know more and his work to make the world a better place!
I loved the book- it can be triggering to some though.
