Wonderful Ending to a Long Journey

Gonna admit, while a long time fan of Ashley, I had not read any of her Rock Chick Universe books. Shame on me, I guess, lol. So, I found myself reading Still Standing, then went back and read/listened to every preceding books and most of the novellas. It was a long ride, but it was a good one, and this last book was a beautiful culmination of all those years of work. I cried about 4 times at the end, and added more kick**s life wisdom quotes from novels to my list. On to re-read S.Standing, then to Smoke & Steel to reunite with Beck and the Resurrection Men. So Amazing

I love a long burn love story. Katelyn is so intelligent and mature but SO naive about so many other things. However , because of her intelligence and resolve, we see and grow alongside her through the story's challenges and her metamorphosis into an independent young woman. Martin is a brilliant, interesting, beautiful, sexy, damaged protagonist. The writing is amazing, another 5⭐ for Penny Reid and narrator Fiona Fischer. Only thing I'd request is more time between transitions to next parts, after story content, and the next book preview. The quick starts threw me and didn't allow me to appreciate the previous ending. However, that's so tiny compared to the awesomeness. Thanks for selling this as a set!

Holy Guacamole, that was Amazing.

I'm speechless. I didn't know if I'd like this book, the trope of domineering boss meets sweet girl who loves him whole would need great writing to be enjoyable. This. Delivered. The writing is fabulous, the character depth phenomenal, and the hooks legendary. Ha. Could barely put it down. Enjoy this sexy, complicated, motivating, sweet, timeless love story, narrated by 2 beautiful voices.

So, So Good

There have been a few books in this multi-author series that I have regretted buying - THIS BOOK IS GREAT, and made me happy I stuck with the Busy Bean universe. The characters have depth, the story is interesting and makes sense, you get the amazing Vermont farm world Sarina B is so good at writing from Delaney Stewart, and it was just great. A slow burn romance not without it's heartache, but so, so worth the ride. I hope to read Amelia and Kevin's sequel soon! Enjoy!

Narration and Cheesy Dialogue

I don't like the male narrator's voice portrayal of the female protagonist in the story, to the point that I had to speed up the play so that it was less grating and I got through the story quicker. While the storyline itself and the characters for the most part are good, and it's situated in what is of course a wonderful book universe, I found the dialogue between the characters to be cheesy, a little forced at times, and sometimes repetitive. Overall, this is my least favorite of the True North books so far. If you don't mind the male narrator and aren't triggered by talk of spousal abuse, it's worth a read. Happy ending!

Mature, Inspiring, Romantic

Moo U's books have been a bit up and down for me as to the maturing of the characters, their reactions to problems, etc. Goalkeeper, though, has refreshingly realistic dialogue and emotions, just enough drama, great sex, and lovable characters. A must read for SB+TN+MU fans ❤️ Great job, Andi Burns!

Oh My Word, Love

Wow. Big fan of Sarina Bowen. Read the website looking for more books of hers, found the WOTNorth Universe. Skeptical, but interested, and trust her enough to buy this first MooU book. Read titles of hers with MooU characters, hockey, Vermont Farmers, etc, and have loved them.

This was so good. The writing was so good. The romance was heart pumping. The sex scenes were thigh clenching. Great take on the Romeo & Juliet/Hatfields & McCoys story with great writing and context of the True Northverse. Enjoy!

Oh, and PS? Fantastic, pantry dropping and heart wrenching performances by both narrators. Brava!

Heartbreaking, Beautiful, Amazing

This story and these characters will hit you in the heart, gut, and groin multiple times. You've been warned. Writing, love story, world building is all fantastic. Narrators are great. Will leave you with a book hangover.

So Many Emotions!

Stop making me both happy and sad cry so much, Kristen Ashley! Seriously one of the best endings to an amazing romance-fantasy-alt-universe-anything book series ever. If you like Game of Thrones, even with all of its ups and downs throughout the story, and especially if you love love stories, you will like this series.
