Very hard to keep listening even with one of the best narrators there is. wierd format, I see what the author is trying to do but took too long and I lost interest.

The accent and dialect are clearly important to the story. This narrator is phenomenal. The problem is I had trouble understanding a lot of it. And while I know the Iron Druid said he was returning to his original speech, the high pitch the narrator uses really betrays the character from so many books. I look forward to visits with him, I felt a little deprived of that. This book just too a lot of work (and rewinding) for me.

Couldn't tolerate narrration

Disappointed because I was looking forward to this book. Narrator was dull, monotone and had gross wet mouth noises. Production needed to be better. Was too hard to get through. Returning.

Another preachy self help dialog

Author is not relatable, has no real problems and tells the rest of us to stop "letting" real issues cause us concern. I was disgusted by the third chapter. Wasted credit.

Breathy over dramatic narrator

Having a hard time getting through this one. the Narrator seems a bit amateurish. Overly dramatic and breathy. Not my cup of tea. Maybe better on paper.

Very Depressing

I didn't think a book could be so depressing......very graphic child abuse scene. warning! Mother's beware, very sad book.

Not really a "fix"

Tremendous amount of specific scientific information. Lots of studies referenced but not sure how to validate the data. basically...avoid wheat, dairy and sugar. that's it. that's the entire "fix".

Dull

Not very interesting. Anticlimactic. Unfortunately this just wasn't very interesting. The story is pretty cliché and the characters lack depth. They lack a lot of depth.

Brilliant

Loved this format. It was unexpected and really captivating. Hilarious and entertaining!!! Can't wait for the next book!

This is a bit out there

I had a hard time feeling this one. I usually like these authors because of the realistic combat scenes and character arc/development and of course, action scenes. In the telling of this story I think the bizarre storyline had one foot in a supernatural/fantasy type genre and another foot in a religious/horror genre when I was expecting another door kicker deep character development as with other books from these authors. The mystery build up of the back story was rushed and fell flat, yet throughout the book there are many many references. It was hard to get invested in any of the characters and I think the villan was obvious but we never learn anything truly about him. Also the heavy Christian theme kind of assumed the reader believes in Christianity and it all went too far into the unbelievable for me.
