Historia
The "maddog" murderer who is terrorizing the Twin Cities is two things: insane and extremely intelligent. He kills for the pleasure of it and thoroughly enjoys placing elaborate obstacles to keep police befuddled. Each clever move he makes is another point of pride. But when the brilliant Lieutenant Lucas Davenport, a dedicated cop and a serial killer's worst nightmare, is brought in to take up the investigation, the maddog suddenly has an adversary worthy of his genius.

Alright

I was going to give 3 stars, but I did listen until the end so I guess it was alright. Agreed that there’s way too much swearing, I’m not completely against a well-timed cuss, but when it’s constant it’s just too much. Also the main cop character is a real douche, sleeps around, can’t seem to control his emotions real well, and doesn’t do things lawfully.

Historia
While renovating her Victorian home, Ana Clementine finds an ornate door buried under forty years of earth. Once she restores it to the attic, she starts hearing whispers, her loving husband has become a stranger, and her baby daughter learns a chilling new word. Maybe Ana has unlocked the house’s secrets. Or maybe she’s becoming just a little unhinged herself.

I had read a Brandi Reeds book in the past and it was excellent, this was ok, would not really recommend though.

Historia
Thirty years ago, Wilde was found as a boy living feral in the woods, with no memory of his past. Now an adult, he still doesn't know where he comes from, and another child has gone missing. No one seems to take Naomi Pine's disappearance seriously, not even her father - with one exception. Hester Crimstein, a television criminal attorney, knows through her grandson that Naomi was relentlessly bullied at school. Hester asks Wilde - with whom she shares a tragic connection - to use his unique skills to help find Naomi.

Creative story line, interesting book. Enjoyed. Had a surprise plot twist at the end. So that was unexpected.

Historia
Frankie Elkin is an average middle-aged woman, a recovering alcoholic with more regrets than belongings. But she spends her life doing what no one else will - searching for missing people the world has stopped looking for. When the police have given up, when the public no longer remembers, when the media has never paid attention, Frankie starts looking. A new case brings her to Mattapan, a Boston neighborhood with a rough reputation. She is searching for Angelique Badeau, a Haitian teenager who vanished from her high school months earlier.

Good
Revisado: 01-23-23
I thought it was an interesting story. A complex well-thought out plot. Being more conservative of a person, I didn’t connect to some of the more liberal viewpoints in the story. However overall it was pretty well written. Not captivating, like some stories. But good. I wanted to find out what happened.
