Wish there were more stories in this topic and that this one was more in-depth but understandably, a tightly guarded “kingdom”. Reading was lacking depth and emotion but Hiaasen is always a great story teller.

The narrator made the story!

I would listen to anything the narrator, Holter Graham read. He could read the dictionary and make it a much better book!! The the book, like the previous one gives us a glimpse into the chaos that is our White House and Presidency. I can not wait until 2020 to hopefully all of this ends. And ultimately will require force to remove this orange clown from the building.

Not worth the time and why all the beeping?

This guy knew what kind of place he was getting in to when working with ANY TRUMP. He can't be offended by harsh language when we all heard the Access Hollywood audio. He has nothing to offer and the book is unbelievably boring. He didn't just work with a team of vipers, he is in the basket of vipers and can not redeem himself now. Do not buy this book, even with a credit.

Matt Taibbi is a fantastic writer and I enjoy reading his work, but this reader did not bring life to this book. The essays were funny, colorful and detailed. I abandoned the audiobook to finish in print. That is the first time I've done that. The right reader can add to the book, but in this case, detracts.

I've never listed to her books before.
What didn’t you like about Jenny Lawson’s performance?
HER VOICE! Through-out the entire book I kept thinking, "clear your throat!". I would have enjoyed this much more with a different reader.
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed the childhood stories, these were quite funny and I could almost imagine some of these stories actually happening.

In print, Owen Meany's dialogue is set in capital letters; for this production, Irving himself selected Joe Barrett to deliver Meany's difficult voice as intended. In the summer of 1953, two 11-year-old boys – best friends – are playing in a Little League baseball game in Gravesend, New Hampshire. One of the boys hits a foul ball that kills the other boy's mother. The boy who hits the ball doesn't believe in accidents; Owen Meany believes he is God's instrument. What happens to Owen after that 1953 foul ball is extraordinary and terrifying.

Oh, this excerpt was so funny. I could easily picture the character, very much like one of Steve Martin's characters. What a pathetic sort, I could almost visualize him standing in the rain looking longingly into her window. I think everyone must know a character much like this. I have been an audible.com member for a little while and although downloaded 5 books, I just today listened to this freeby. TWICE. Nice job Mr. Martin.
