A fitting ending
Revisado: 12-16-21
I felt like this may not have been the strongest book, but it capped the series nicely. I'm satisfied they had an idea going in and followed the plan. I love this series.

It doesn't go into the outer space aspects of the Expanse but it is fun.

I loved the oration. I inherited a leather bound book and the Audible helped me get through this very dense but rewarding book.

This is not a story.

I liked the performance. It is not a story though, so I give it one star in that category.

Historia
Gogol's great Russian classic is the Pickwick Papers of Russian literature. It takes a sharp but humorous look at life in all its strata but especially the devious complexities in Russia, with its landowners and serfs. We are introduced to Chichikov, a businessman who, in order to trick the tax authorities, buys up dead 'souls', or serfs, whose names still appear on the government census. Despite being a dealer in phantom crimes and paper ghosts, he is the most beguiling of Gogol's characters.

It is a fun absurdist book.
Revisado: 09-07-18
It is too bad the story will remain unfinished. This is a wonderful comedy of the absurd. It has a great antihero. The performance was great.

Excellent prison description
Revisado: 06-30-18
It isn't the strongest Dostoyevsky novel but it is an interesting read. Like most Dostoyevsky it takes a time for him to build his world and interjected in between anecdotes are poetic passages.
