Historia
Pandora's Lab takes us from opium's heyday as the pain reliever of choice to recognition of opioids as a major cause of death in the United States; from the rise of trans fats as the golden ingredient for tastier, cheaper food to the heart disease epidemic that followed; and from the cries to ban DDT for the sake of the environment to an epidemic-level rise in world malaria.

So I’m not one to be political by any means but the book and it’s a great book very interesting and informative don’t get me wrong but when he slams a political party and or specific members is why it got 3 stars and not 5. I feel as if it did not need to be included and didn’t add any meaningful significance to the story or facts of the book. Beyond this portion of the book I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Next time just be careful of how much politics you stick into a non political book.

Historia
When you take the most absurd parts of history, science, economics, and geography, you end up with a pretty confusing picture of humanity. Why do we have borders? What's the furthest you can get from the ocean? And why did Vikings wear those silly helmets? These are just a few of the strange questions that bounce around the head of Joseph Pisenti. In his YouTube channel, Pisenti presents illogical truths in a logical manner. Here, he builds on this nonsensical humor of the universe with in-depth analysis of empires, economies, and ecosystems as he helps answer the ridiculous.

98% great 2% trash
Revisado: 12-08-20
This book is a little bit scatter brained but that’s ok with my adhd so that’s alright. On the other hand the the 2% that is trash is based on the fact that he get a bit political towards the end and I am reading a book of facts that are based on science for the most part and trying to get away from all the political bull snot that seems to consume our daily lives so I’ll get off my soap box but thought y’all should know.
