Historia
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

Awareness awakens you to the truth that you possess everything you need right now to be happy and fulfilled. Happiness is your natural state. You don't need to do anything to acquire it; you only need to drop something. This audiobook shows you what that is. There is not a single person who ever gave time to being aware who’s quality of life didn't change. You see life differently because you are different. You respond to people and situations differently. You see things you have never seen before. Beautiful things. You're much more energetic, much more alive.

I can't say enough about this book and what it did
Revisado: 06-21-23
"Awareness" is a life-changing book that guides readers towards self-discovery, inner peace, and a deeper understanding of life's true purpose. Anthony de Mello's timeless wisdom resonates with the human spirit and provides a roadmap to break free from the chains of illusion and awaken to the beauty of the present moment. This book has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on my life, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a transformative journey of self-realization. if you're looking for a book that actually has substance that you can implement easy to understand and can be life-changing this is it. there's a lot of BS out there and I feel this is so relevant to today even though it was really in the 1980s

Some good information and almost got there.
Revisado: 02-16-20
I found the audio very difficult because of the monotone nature of the narrator, but the concepts are good and if you listen you will pull some golden nuggets out the book. I would not prepare to have your world rocked. Also, more of a baseline book, lacking the powerful phrases in any situation as the title would suggest. The mindful communication piece is good and helps as you learn to curb your own demons.

Good information poor performance
Revisado: 02-02-20
The content on this is very good. I struggled a little bit with the narration and having any kind of emotion along with the book to connect with but I think if I could just take that out a lot of value of the book are worth the listen.

Good Book, rough Audio
Revisado: 03-24-18
Where does Focused Forward rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In the middle. I think the book has good info and worth a read. Some points are helpful and others I will need to push to bring in.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The format which this book made it hard to say on track and listen. The biggest issue I had was the constant reading of punctuation. Quotation marks, bullet points. etc.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No

Revisado: 01-02-17
I've listened to thousands of self-improvement books over the years and this book is simplistic actionable and life-changing.The narration is easy to get through and as soon as I was done I started listening to it again. I own an accounting firm and I can't wait to put these practices into every day application. I can see how these changes focusing on one thing at a time can yield amazing results. thank you for bringing high-level coaching to the masses.

And just how do we manage those situations that can provoke even the most rational among us into behaving in ways we would rather forget?
