Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans - except Katniss.

Heartbreaking.

still a good ending to the overall story

and I still don't think the epilogue was necessary or held true to Katniss' character. But what do I know? Maybe she changed after the 10, 15 years.
As for the audio version: I think the narrator, Tatiana Maslany, did a phenomenal job. She sounds eerily similar to JLaw and brought tears to my eyes many times. (Most notably, towards the end, when Buttercup showed up again. I sobbed at work.) She did a great job with the singing, keeping that edge of non-professional needed.

I never knew I needed! This was a fantastic story and the narrator did an amazing job with the depth and emotions, especially the last chapter. I cried. That damned Buffy quote lol. Also all the Doctor Who, Firefly, Buffy parts made my little nerd heart so happy.
