It’s hard to come up with a big idea - but it doesn’t have to be. Because great ideas don’t come from the inside-out - they come from the outside-in. The good stuff is out there, waiting. We just have to know how to see it. And in our fast-changing work world, this might be the most useful skill our teams can have.

Misleading Title and No Valuable Information

The story starts off with the author speaking about having a dad who was a doctor and how he could have been a doctor as well but instead decided to be a writer. He then discussed getting ideas for writing but then took a sharp turn before making a point about this subject to talk about a fictional character that just observes other people and write stuff down.
Not only was the story confusing but there just simply was nothing groundbreaking in the content... The key point of the story is to observe and write things down. And quite frankly many of the examples do not talk about big ideas... or frankly any ideas. And it certainly made me less inclined to purchase anything that author was trying to sell. The only result is that I wish I could get my 30 minutes back.
