I’m a big fan of each of these authors. However I simply couldn’t connect with this story or the characters in this book. And unfortunately I found the male narrators voice not to my taste. A rare miss for me from these two authors

I seem to disagree with others on the narration. The level of energy and urgency in some of the battles etc was really en pointe for me.
And what a story. It’s been a line time since I’ve enjoyed a fantasy book so much. Really thoroughly enjoyed this

I genuinely like these narrators and the story is great. But I really struggled with the crossover accents and it did impact my enjoyment significantly on this one.

Another fabulous story by the author. Brad is a very emotive narrator. However I’m afraid the attempted Scots accents grate a little for the ears of a Scot. But if you can live with that then it’s a lovely narration
