Easily the weakest of Gus’s stories.

I’m glad I listened to this one after all the others. The love of the series kept me along but if this had been the start of the series I would have gave it up.
The first prequel, the night of the fall, was amazing. I almost didn’t even realize it was a zombie book. This one was just too much poop and dick jokes and not enough story.

I followed this arc because I started it. The story had so much potential but it’s just so meh at this point. Only RC Bray’s performance saves this series. And the villain’s agenda for creating the virus is just so stupid. I almost returned the book immediately after I heard it but decided I at least owed Bray’s awesome performance full listen.
