Historia
Trauma victims are not new to medical examiner Faith McIntyre, but this one is different. The unconscious woman clinging to life after a hit and run is FBI agent Macy Crow. What the woman from Quantico was doing in a dark alley after midnight is just one mystery. The other is more unsettling: Macy is Faith’s mirror image—the twin sister she never knew she had.

Full Of Suspense
Revisado: 06-30-20
This was a great book to get my mind off of all that’s going on. It’s got a lot of twists that I didn’t see coming and kept me in suspense. I kept trying to guess who the bad guy was. Come to find out, all my guesses were wrong.
The book was non stop action and I set the timer on the audiobook a few times so that I could keep listening until I fell asleep without having a very hard time finding the spot I last remembered.
This was the first book by this author that I’ve read but after reading it I checked her other books and next on my list is Hide and Seek which continues with Macy’s story.
If you like suspense/thrillers, you should like this book.
The narrator did a great job!

LOVED IT!
Revisado: 06-26-20
Oh my goodness, this was so good but it was also very sad. I loved going with John and Carol on the journey to fulfill the promise they made concerning their daughter. If it had been me, I would have wanted each of us to do it on our own but since John was sick I would have done it with him like Carol did, no matter what my feelings about him were. I knew the reason why they made the promise but finding out the details of what happened took quite a way into the book.
The trip they took was very interesting, lots of stops in different states and even one stop that really surprised me. In the end Carol realized that not all the things that made her resent John were his fault, some of them were hers.
Even though this book is such a sad story, there are also some uplifting moments and even a few that are funny.
The narrator did a good job and made this a very easy book to listen to.
This is the first book by this author that I’ve read but I’m patiently waiting for the audio of book #2 in this series, A Life Without Flowers which is expected to be released on September 29th of this year.

Revisado: 06-18-20
I had this book on my tbr list for so many years but just never got a copy. A few weeks ago I thought it was way past time for me to read it so I got the Audible copy. It surprised me that the book was so short, I thought it would be a lot longer. But one thing happened after another so it didn’t really “feel” that short. I was totally engrossed in the book.
The book was really good. It was silly, funny, and had a great cast of characters. I loved the Queen and all her “off with their head!” comments over and over, when random people did random things.
Other quotes I liked were:
“It would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig.”
“I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.”
A few of my favorites are:
“One of the deep secrets of life is that all that is really worth the doing is what we do for others.”
”And what is the use of a book,’ thought Alice, ‘without pictures or conversation?”
I loved this quote the most since it is very true with what’s happening in the world today:
“It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.”
The story started out a bit different than what I thought it was going to and I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next. I thought the flow of the book was great and that Michael Scott was the perfect choice for the narration. I loved listening to him tell this story. Between the writing and the narration I could see the story in my mind.
If you haven’t read this yet, you should. I really enjoyed it.
This will be a book I return to every so often. It was an easy listen and a great story. It got me out of the reading rut I fell back into when 2020 hit the fan.

Through decades of music by one of the best-selling musicians of all time, who created classics like "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina in My Mind", James Taylor has doled out his history in the poetry of his work. Taylor says his early life is, "the source of many of my songs", and Break Shot is a tour of his first 21 years in rich, new detail.

Very Interesting
Revisado: 05-29-20
I’ve always liked James Taylor’s songs. They are very mellow and calming. I knew nothing about him other than his music so when I saw this Audible Original I knew I wanted to listen to it.
A few things I learned were… he came from a well to do family, he wasn’t as squeaky clean as I thought he was, he had 3 brothers and a sister and that many of Taylor family members suffered from alcoholism and depression.
This was a short book at just over an hour and a half, but it was packed with information and I was glued to the story.
Taylor narrated the book himself and did a good job.
I think fans and non fans of James Taylor will enjoy this.

Wonderful Story!
Revisado: 05-07-20
This is my first book by this author, and I loved it. I loved the friendships between Gray, Diana, and Marcy and how the three women had such a solid bond. Gray and Marcy were friends for years, then Gray and Diana meet at the perfect time, in a not so perfect way. All three women ended up being more like sisters and I loved that! I’ve had a friend like that since I was young and so I connected with them right away.
Then Gray’s sister Quinn is introduced. I absolutely loved Gray, Marcy and Diana. But to me, Quinn was the most interesting character, even though she had the least amount of time in the book. I loved how she grew as a person and sister.
The men in the book were great characters too although it took a very long time for me to change my mind about Greg.
I also enjoyed learning about the relationship between Diana and her brother. Very touching! But Diana and Frank’s relationship? Now that was an amazing story inside of an amazing story!
I loved the descriptions of Cape Carolina! It sounds like my kind of place.
The narration was perfect. Both Kelsey Navarro and Amanda Ronconi did an excellent job.
This was a book that I didn’t want to end. I can’t recommend it enough!

Revisado: 04-28-20
I've been a fan of Marcus Samuelsson for a long time so I was very happy to see this audio and to learn it also had a PDF of the recipes.
The audio is narrated by Marcus and includes a variety of guests. It was fun to listen to their conversations and discover what foods they loved. Their banter was friendly and funny and made the time go by quickly.
I've never heard of or tried some of the spices/foods they mentioned and that was another nice thing about the book. It opened my eyes to new things and now I have a few new to me spices, cheese etc. on my list to try.
I really liked this audio and think any foodie or Marcus lover will too. My only complaint about this audio was that sometimes the background music was too loud.

LOVED IT!
Revisado: 02-28-20
I’ve had this book on my list for a while. I don’t know why it took me so long to get to it but I’m so glad I decided to move it to the top of my list.
I loved Rosemary! She is 86 and a widow who swims at the Lido every day and has been going there since it opened when she was a child. I loved learning about her life and her love for her husband George and their life together, and her love for the Lido.
Kate was a great character also. She is 26-year-old, works for a newspaper and suffers from anxiety, but with the help of Rosemary, the Lido, and a man she starts having a relationship with (can’t remember his name), she finally starts living a “normal” life.
Together these two women, with the help of the community, set out to stop the Lido from being demolished and turned into an apartment complex.
This is a fantastic book that will be going on my “favorite” list for this year. The characters were full of love for their community, each other, and doing whatever it took to save the Lido. It was an awesome story that will stay with me for a very long time and I have a feeling I’ll be listening, or reading, it again.
This is the first book by Libby Page . I will be keeping an eye out for her next book, The 24-Hour Café

Historia
Six-time Emmy Award-winning funnyman Tim Conway, best known for his characters on The Carol Burnett Show, offers a straight-shooting and hilarious memoir about his life on stage and off as an actor and comedian. In television history, few entertainers have captured as many hearts and made as many people laugh as Tim Conway. There's nothing in the world that Tim Conway would rather do than entertain - and in his first-ever memoir, What's So Funny?, that's exactly what he does.

I LOVED IT!
Revisado: 02-14-20
I’ve loved Tim Conway since the first time I saw him, and watching him on the Carol Burnett show made me laugh until my jaw and sides hurt. If you saw the show where he walked down the wall instead of the stairs, or where he was talking about an elephant, you know what I mean. When I was in middle school, one of my teachers told us she went to school with him in Willoughby , Ohio (not far from where I lived) and that he was just as funny even as child.
This book lets us into the life and thoughts of this man, who in my opinion is one of the funniest people, and best comedic actors, ever! I know about his childhood and his unusual parents who he calls by their first names, Sophie and Dan. They were very different from my parents, and did quirky, even strange things. There was a part in the audio where he talked about his mom not liking a certain family in the neighborhood, so whenever they saw the family coming up the driveway, they’d shut the curtains and hide under the kitchen table! Another thing that stuck out in my mind was when he was going to New York, and his dad told him to go see his sister who he hadn’t seen for years (after they came to the U.S. from Ireland, they lost contact) and when Tim got to her apartment she wouldn’t open the door, so he talked to her very shortly through the door and then he left. This was after he was famous even. But she said she didn’t watch tv so didn’t really know who he was. All I can figure is that she was older and lived alone in New York so was leery that he was even who he said he was, and too afraid to open the door to a strange man.
I could go on and on, but think you should either read the book or listen to the audio version for yourself. It is a LOL audio that I plan on listening to from time to time, whenever I need a feel good listen or a laugh.
Highly recommended!

I Was Surprised By How Much I loved It!
Revisado: 09-01-19
I usually don’t read books set in this time period but I’m a fan of this author so when she offered a copy for a reveiw, I decided to listen to it. It’s the first in this series, and I loved it.
The story is about Melinda, who moves to Idaho (to become a teacher) which is nothing like her home in Boston. She encounters all kinds of hardships and is a bit out of her element, but she conquers her fears and begins to feel like this is the life she is meant to live.
There is adventure, scary moments, excitement, and love. Melinda has a student named Jenny whose mother died years ago. She was well taken care of by her father but her previous teacher and her fellow students mistreated her. Melinda changes that.
The narration was great. I really enjoyed this book!
