Historia
An “extraordinary” (New York Review of Books) novel based on the true story of how German war profiteer and factory director Oskar Schindler came to save more Jews from the gas chambers than any other single person during World War II. In this milestone of Holocaust literature, Thomas Keneally, author of The Book of Science and Antiquities and The Daughter of Mars, uses the actual testimony of the Schindlerjuden — Schindler’s Jews — to brilliantly portray the courage and cunning of a good man in the midst of unspeakable evil.

Hard to listen to but very well done
Revisado: 08-01-19
This is a story that is very emotional if you have any level of empathy. It is so well written and relays it’s information as a documentary with wonderful narration. To understand the cruelty and compassion of human nature I can think of very few stories to compare. It will take me a while before I’m ready to listen a second time but it certainly is one of the best written stories I have listen to.

Always a good writer
Revisado: 12-27-17
This story is thoroughly enjoyable. The narrator does a good job of reading it, not quite as good as Tony Britten, but still pretty good. There is one part that is adult material but it does not last too long. The language is fairly clean.

Dick Francis
Revisado: 11-05-17
Dick Francis is one of the most amazing writers. Always suspenseful and enjoyable stories this is like every other Story he writes very fun to listen to. The plot is a little simpler than some of his stories and some of the loose ends are left dangling. Towards the end it feels like he just tried to wrap the story up. It is a very enjoyable story, probably not his best but still worth listening to. Tony Britton is one of the best readers I have ever heard I always enjoy listening to a.m.

The first of many great stories
Revisado: 05-16-17
This writer is one of the funnest riders to read. This story The Thief is one of the best. This is a good safe clean story for young folks and adults alike. I have waited many years for audible to finally pick up this writer and I am so glad they have. Probably because of the popularity of the book that was just released it has caused publishers to notice how many people are looking forward to stories from Megan Whalen Turner. It is a good fiction story with a fun plot about mythology. I hope you enjoy it as much as our family has. RPR

Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

Great story very inspiring
Revisado: 11-14-16
The writer of the story has done a great job. Not only was the story about the Olympics at the time of Nazi Germany but it gave a great history of some of the struggle at least based here in America. The story was very inspiring and was well told.
