What started out with potential ended up being bizarrely confusing.

We have Anna who really does not want the job, but wants to continue with her long distance partner by moving closer. We have Rowan who is self deprecating and tries to pass himself off as someone else. Then we have Jeremiah who has recently come out and is unsure of what is future holds as he navigates gay culture.

Chaos ensues as a freak snowstorm rages in Mississippi, closing roads and airports, and leaving people stranded. This alarming storm takes place in the Deep South where snow rarely makes an appearance and is in the background of all the human noise as the message that our planet is in danger leaves Jeremiah even more freaked out. Carbon footprints are increasing by those who refuse to believe what's in front of them or the scientific data that backs it all up.

If you are not a fan of climate culture discussions, nor believe that climate change is real, skip this book. If you are a fan of Trump, you may want to skip this book, unless you're able to ignore a few jabs at him. To be honest, if you read this book anyways and you get all in a tizzy, you only have yourself to blame after my helpful hints.

Marra is an extremely talented author whose addition to the Inheritance Collection broke up the monotony of the previous two books, which were emotionally heavy. Michael's father was a well known Nobel Prize winner, but had been imprisoned for treason thanks to his son spilling all of his secrets. As his father is close to death, and Michael has no other choice but to move home, father and son heal the rift between the slightly. Comical at times, especially talking about the days he spent at Catholic school, the ending left me wanting a better conclusion, but still I enjoyed it and will look into other works of his. Pabon is a fabulous narrator, one whom I plan on researching to see if he's narrated any other books that I'd listen to.

The very first audiobook that I bought was this one. And though I love Harry Potter and the entire Pottermore universe, I especially bought this BECAUSE Andrew was narrating it. After years of watching him play Rick Grimes, with his raspy American accent, now narrating in his native tongue, it's the perfect mashup of two of my favorite things.

There is a lot more material to this than the original published book, which I had bought way back when. I especially loved the Quidditch World Cup narration by Ginny Potter, and towards the end the despicable gossip Rita Skeeter. Someone forgot the warning Hermione Granger-Weasley gave her once upon a time!

If you think that you're going to hear a lot about Harry, you're not. There is mention of Dumbledore's Army at the World Final, but all mentions are in passing...and 100% gossiped about by Rita.

This was the perfect read for when I was putting together a puzzle.
