Historia
The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to forget what happened that night so I could move on with my life. An impossible feat, considering the demons of the past refuse to let me go. Jumping head-first into the unknown seems like a good place to start. So I move out of my childhood home and away from the pain lurking around every corner. It would have been a great start if not for my new next-door neighbor, who slightly resembles a Yeti. His attitude does little to convince me he’s not.

I love this book
Revisado: 12-31-24
Updated:
While the content of my initial review below remains the same, I will add in here that I have had the opportunity to listen to the audio version of this story and WOW!
the narrators really brought this story to life, and Mark and Alicia were so well portrayed! Their performance really touched on the rawness of these characters, and made them feel that much more real.
I couldn't stop listening to this, and when it was over I was a bit "audio book hungover". Even though the story was a re-read, this new experience of it hit all the marks, and I adored it!!
Initial Review:
Note: Check the trigger warnings before reading. It is also advisable to read this book and sequence as per the series.
I loved this book.
The main characters of the story were everything. The FMC is learning how to be strong in the midst of her trauma, and the MMC, who is the perpetual savior, may just find himself needing to be saved.
The characters in the story are complicated and have deep seated issues that make them that much more relatable. The supporting characters are beloved and real.
This is a heart wrenching read of the best kind and is filled with humor, strength, pain and trauma, some violence, furry friends, spice, banter, drama, and More than a little bit of hope.
If I could pick a favorite in the series, which I cannot, this might be it.
This is an absolute perfect treat for the reader seeking angst, drama, and a wonderful love story.

Surprising and Emotional
Revisado: 07-11-24
This is a heart-wrenching and thought-provoking romance that delves deep into the complexities of the human heart.
This is a story that explores grief, trauma, and the power of love to heal and redeem.
The characters are multidimensional and relatable, with flaws and strengths that make them feel incredibly real. The writing is evocative and immersive, drawing me into the world of the story and refusing to let me go.
While the pacing could be tightened in places, the emotional depth and resonance of the story more than makes up for it. The romance is tender and authentic, and the supporting cast adds depth and richness to the narrative.
Overall, this is a beautiful and emotional read / listen that resonates.

Absolutely Phenomenal!
Revisado: 07-11-24
The first installment of the graphic audio adaptation of Iron Flame is a amazing. The narration is superb, with a talented voice cast that brings the characters to life.
The sound design is equally impressive, with sound effects and music that perfectly complement the narrative. The pacing is expertly handled, with a perfect balance of action, suspense, and emotional moments that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
The story itself is engaging, intense, and full of unexpected twists and turns. I was completely absorbed in the world of Iron Flame, and I can't wait to see what happens next!!
Overall, this graphic audio adaptation is a must-listen. It's a thrilling ride that will leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more!

Historia
The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to get the hell out of Little Hope. Its small-town traditionalism is stifling, and there’s no way for ‘trailer trash’ like me to get ahead. But a few years ago, my fate was sealed, locking me in this place forever. The only shiny thing in town is Justin Attleborough, who’s put me at the top of his ‘hate-list’ for reasons that are beyond me, along with half the town. The more forbidden the fruit is, the sweeter it seems.

Where heartache and Happily Ever After Collides
Revisado: 06-26-24
This is book 2 in the little hope series and can be enjoyed as a standalone, but its advised to be read after book 1 for context.
This angsty story is impossible to pause.
This story is filled with heartache and misunderstandings, with heartbreaking consequences, and shows true growth and resilience of the characters.
The writing for this story is captivating, the characters are the type you hate to love but do anyway (the MMC), and the strength and growth in learning your worth is a lesson hard learned and beautifully portrayed (the FMC).
This wonderful story contains humor, small town antics, drama and heartache that will make you cry, a redemption arc that is both hot and tender, and some much needed furry interference!
As a bonus, I also recommend experiencing this book in audio. The narrators do such a fantastic job, and these characters are portrayed wonderfully! The voice actors match the characters perfectly and they bring the characters to life.
This is a definite must read/listen!

Just my luck - my new next door neighbor is a unicorn. Yep, the British hottie is clearly a mythical man because - get this - he's a sexy, witty, charming, big-hearted single dad. Who, wait for it, wants to find Mrs. Right and get hitched. He’s a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of man, and it’s a darn shame I’m not on the market. If I were, his accent alone would melt me. Add in the fact that he's a veterinarian, and my animal-loving heart would be flip flopping.

The scowl should’ve been my first clue to stay far away from Anson Hunt. The sexy smirk and the fact that he’s my brother’s best friend? Reasons two and three. Not to mention, he’s the new contractor working on my house. He’s everything I’m not: grumpy, rude, and more than a little attached to his solitude. It doesn’t matter how many times I try to kill him with kindness; the man simply won’t crack. Until he sees me shatter. Because when my world comes crashing down around me, Anson is the one catching me as I fall.

Captivating and Enthralling
Revisado: 06-06-24
Catherine Cowles strikes gold again! This captivating start to a new series introduces exquisitely crafted, damaged characters that are both relatable and authentic.
This enemies to lovers expertly weaves suspense and close proximity, and kept me on the edge of my seat.
I was so sure I had the villain, but I'm still picking up my jaw!
The characters in this book are phenomenal, the setting is vividly rendered, and the journey to the happily ever after is both poignant and satisfying.
This one left my heart fluttery, and it's even more enhanced when experiencing the story via Audiobook, as the cast did a phenomenal job!
The voice actor truly brought the characters to life with amazing and heartfelt renditions!
I'm eagerly awaiting the rest of this already fantastic series!!

A Heartbreaking and Necessary Novella
Revisado: 04-15-24
I listened to this on audio while beginning Queens of Mist and Madness (the Fourth and Final book of this series).
The tandem was unintentional, but so perfect! Not only did my heart ache for these main characters, but the way their story is incorporated into the final book of the series was that much more impactful.
This story had so much feel and heart, and I absolutely relished the opportunity to devour the story that brought us Emelin!
This is an absolute gem and a must read for further context into the series!

Sometimes Happily Ever After Looks Different Than
Revisado: 02-26-24
In this installment of the series, some time has passed and we follow the lives of Josh and Ember once again, in their fight to maintain their Happily Ever After.
The first book in the series was only their beginning, and this story holds trials and tribulations that will leave you raw.
This amazing story shows not only their strength as a couple, but the strength they each must forge when life comes at their foundation with a wrecking ball and leaves them with the rubble.
I loved the development of these characters, their resolve and their perseverance.
This story is not all sunshine and roses, but it is absolutely worth the read.
I listened to the audio adaptation of this one and once again am blown away by the narrators' ability to bring these characters to life.
This story is filled with drama, yearning, heartache, and a deep bond one can only pray to forge. There is spice and of course, favorite characters make their appearance from the series.

Revisado: 02-01-24
The series keeps going strong!
This third installment in the Flight and Glory series is written as amazingly as the first two!
Once again the characters are impossible not to love!
The characters are so perfect for one another, and the growth they experience are amazing!
I listened to this audio, which was overall pretty good, I just didn’t always enjoy the female narrator’s rendition as much as her counterpart.
