After I read the first book, I was hooked. I had to get this second one and my high expectations was satisfied. Will be listening and reading the next one of the series.

Bones is my favorite vampire!
Handsome with a swoony British accent, master vampire, and a gentleman (gentle- undead-man?), need I say more?

I am an avid fan of Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series books, including the spin-offs and novellas.
I've read all of the books. This book is aptly titled 'The Other Half of the Grave" since it is written and narrated from Bones' POV based on the first book, Halfway to the Grave, where Bones and Cat met, fought with each other and together, and finally fell in love. If you are a fan of Night Huntress, you'll know the ending is not a HEA. But don't dismiss this book. It's wonderfully written and narrated!

It totally deserves 5 stars. I would have given it a higher rating if it was available. Kept in my Favorites folder.

This book is the first novel for me where the villain, I'll call her that because she is a conniving, heartless woman who only thinks of herself as number one, is the lead in the story. I know that this is a pre-quell for The Last Mrs. Prrish, and I'm not sure if I want to read or listen to that book after this prequel. Although I like the way Ms. Constantine writes, it bothers me to think if she will still use Anber, the scheming woman, to be the lead in that story.

For now, I gave the book 3.5 stars. I'll hold my final judgment until I have the time to read The Last Mrs. Parrish, if ever.

I STRUGGLED TO FINISH THIS!

I bought both the ebook and audio like I always do, expecting to enjoy the book more, mainly because it is co-written by Anna Zaires and co-narrated by Teddy Hamilton. I was very disappointed. This book is too juvenile for me and reads like an inexperienced young writer wrote it, I struggled to try to finish it, hoping it would be better as the story unfolds and not wanting to DNF it. I can't believe how this book got a very high rating!

To add insult to injury, Teddy Hamilton did not co-narrate the book like what I gleaned from the book's description. He only read the epilogue! I felt like I fell into clickbait! It should have been made clear that the book is narrated by Ava Erikson with Epilogue by Teddy Hamilton.

This was a recommendation from one of the Audible customer service personnel, and I am glad that I got it. The author, Kristen Painter, and the narrator, B. J. Harrison, are both new to me. I was so enthralled with the story that I read it in one sitting (till the wee hours of the morning.) The narrator brought the characters to life, although I had to listen to it at 1.5 speed, it was a pleasant listen. I am ready for the rest of the series!!!!

Next in Line by Jill Bengtsson, read by Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber is my best book read for 2021 so far.
Finally, we hear Jess' story- the youngest of the McKallister brothers. I am sucked in from the very first page. Ms. Bengtsson, you are an outstanding writer. You showed us Jess' love-hate feelings towards his famous brother, Jake, and his turmoil for being neglected by his family since Jake's kidnapping that made him feel inadequate in his quest to surpass Jake's success until he meets an unconventional woman, Quinn, who changed his focus and feelings. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but best enjoyed if you have read the other Cake series booK. As for the narrators, they're the best! I listened with Whispersync in one sitting, and I didn't want it to end. I would give this book more than 5 stars if it were possible!!

I'm a fan of the couple writers Dima and Anna Zaires so when I found out that they wrote a new Laugh-Out-Loud workplace romantic comedy, I purchased it. The third co-writer, Misha Bell, is new to me, and it seems to me that she has a lot of programming/coding experience that she incorporated into this story. It was different from what I would expect from the couple team, but I enjoyed it. It was short and lots of LOL scenes. Congrats, Ms. Bell on your first novel!

It is hard for me to review this book. I love both the narrators, Zachary Webber and Arndt, and I usually enjoy Lauren Blakely's books. However, it took me several days to finish this book due to stopping and then picking it up again after a few days. I found the story considerably predictable. I wanted to give it a 3-star review but decided to rate it as a 4-star book mainly because of the excellent performance of the narrators and the epilogues at the end of the book.

This book contains several lessons on understanding and discovering oneself written in inspiring yet straightforward words, full of spirituality and caring. What really stuck to my mind after reading this book is that "spirituality is not religion. It is a path for us to generate happiness, understanding, and love so we can live deeply each moment of our life."
I believe this is the appropriate first book of 2021 for me! The sufferings and calamities that were rampant last year give rise to acceptance and love if we seek to understand them and use them to better ourselves.

I admired that Mack never cheated his girlfriend even though he had strong feelings and attraction towards his roommate, Francesca. He also chose to stay with his girlfriend when he found out that she was pregnant. He left and broke Francesca’s heart.
The next time the H an h meet, their life situation was reversed. Mack was now free to win back Francesca, however, she was living with her professor boyfriend for last two years.
It is clear that the H and the h love each other, but they should have respected the h’s boyfriend by not sleeping together before she broke up with him. Francesca was a cheater, and that didn’t sit well with me! For this reason, I abandoned listening to the book even though both the narration of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York was perfect,
