Historia
In The War on the West, Douglas Murray shows how many well-meaning people have been fooled by hypocritical and inconsistent anti-West rhetoric. After all, if we must discard the ideas of Kant, Hume, and Mill for their opinions on race, shouldn’t we discard Marx, whose work is peppered with racial slurs and anti-Semitism? Embers of racism remain to be stamped out in America, but what about the raging racist inferno in the Middle East and Asia?

Exposing the Hypocrisy
Revisado: 10-19-22
You're not alone against the evil ideology of wokeism and leftism. Douglas Murry gives a compelling argument backed up by facts and retorts that stop the cancel culture dead in it's tracks. The author exposes the the left for what they truly are, frauds. Reading this book will help you approach and defend yourself from the folly that modern day left wing intellectuals, the mainstream press, useless members of congress and other global government hacks and the Hollywood Champaign socialist subscribe to.

Historia
The appearance, more than 60 years after the Spanish Civil War ended, of mass graves containing victims of Francisco Franco's death squads finally broke what Spaniards call "the pact of forgetting" - the unwritten understanding that their recent, painful past was best left unexplored. At this charged moment, Giles Tremlett embarked on a journey around the country and through its history to discover why some of Europe's most voluble people have kept silent so long.

Smug Sensibilities
Revisado: 03-25-22
This book took me longer than a year to listen to. Obviously it couldn't keep my attention. I found the narration tedious, dreary and lifeless. Spain is a country that is bound with energy and life, nowhere in this authors writings did he convey it with any sort of enthusiasm or verve. Maybe it's the narrators stiff upper lip that failed to express any sort of spirit. The story was dull and stale. I've lived in this country in the past for years and the experience I had was very different. You can't expect a Brit to have an unbiased view because when they're there, they can't even venture out of their own dominions or regencies never the less learn the language or come together with Spaniards.

Historia
More than a million listeners have thrilled to Bill O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln, the can't-stop-listening work of nonfiction about the shocking assassination that changed the course of American history. Now the anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts in gripping detail the brutal murder of John Fitzgerald Kennedy—and how a sequence of gunshots on a Dallas afternoon not only killed a beloved president but also sent the nation into the cataclysmic division of the Vietnam War and its culture-changing aftermath.

I expected MORE
Revisado: 02-10-22
Overall enjoyed the details about the Kennedy's on a human/personal level. I did not enjoy the very slanted story which ONLY offers the Warren commission narrative. I expected much more...

Historia
A business parable about how to create a start-up that won't trap you when you want to sell it. According to John Warrillow, the number one mistake entrepreneurs make is to build a business that relies too heavily on them. Thus, when the time comes to sell, buyers aren't confident that the company-even if it's profitable-can stand on its own. To illustrate this, Warrillow introduces us to a fictional small business owner named Alex who is struggling to sell his advertising agency.

Can't get passed the Narrator
Revisado: 11-12-21
The narrator is horrible, he speaks with a smugness that is beyond companionable. I'm sure the information in this book is valuable but when you have somebody delivering it to you in this manner you quickly detach. I'm sure it's too late to return and choose another book.
A book like this doesn't need to be in a story format, it needs actual examples and forthrightness.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

Mesmerized, couldn't stop listening.
Revisado: 04-13-13
This is one of the most incredible true stories I have ever heard, read, etc. I believe in divine intervention, however I have never heard of one so pronounced as this. The author has uncovered details so acute you feel every emotion these true to life men experienced, the sinking plane, the struggling B-17, the ascending ME-262 and the clerk with the clipboard.
It's difficult to understand that their was such a time as this, young men by the thousands flew off to war and never returned. My father inlaw "89" who I take care was one of them, he sailed to war, fortunately he returned.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to step out of their life and feel the horror, compassion, fear and ultimately love that human beings are capable of.
