This is not Market Wizards
Revisado: 04-17-25
This is not Market Wizards. Not much value for people interested in investing and trading. There are several very valuable interviews, but most of it is just a Woke, DEI, ESG, Climate change promotional pamphlet.

Waste of time
Revisado: 10-13-24
The book is full of fillers. The entire value of the book can be taken from ah hour long YouTube video. The author is not offering any value at all. The book was free part of the catalog, if i paid for it, I would have had buyers remorse.

Historia
In language that is both colorful and accessible, Rogers explains why the world of commodity investing can be one of the simplest of all - and how commodities are the bases by which investors can value companies, markets, and whole economies. To be a truly great investor is to know something about commodities. For small investors and high rollers alike, Hot Commodities is as good as gold . . . or lead, or aluminum, which are some of the commodities Rogers says could be as rewarding for investors.

Waste of time
Revisado: 08-25-24
This book is not for people who want to learn how to invest or trade commodities. It is a collection of general thoughts by the author on commodities. It won't help anyone. The information is outdated and unhelpful. If you have too much time to waste then read it. If I knew the true about this book I wouldn't have bought it and wasted the time to read it.

Historia
You know who your competitors are. You keep tabs on them regularly, and can list them calmly, along with their strengths and weaknesses. But your enemies are a whole other matter. They’re the haters and the doubters who said you’d never make it, the ones who stomped on your dreams. When you think about your enemies, you get emotional. You feel like you won’t let anything—or anyone—stop you.

Historia
We're in the middle of an epidemic of average. So-called "normal" people get up every day, go to work, do what's asked of them, leave promptly at five, and return home to sit on the couch and watch TV. Society tells us that this is what it means to lead a balanced life. Don't stress too much or work too hard. Your career isn't everything. But Grant Cardone thinks this preoccupation with balance has really just given an excuse to be mediocre.

Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.

I found a lot of things that I agree with / a lot of things that I disagree with / and a lot of interesting things. I recommend this book as an inspiration to start thinking about the writings of the author, not as a true, a fact or a law.

Historia
In this dramatic portrait of legendary and, until now, secretive financier Carl Icahn, best-selling business writer Mark Stevens takes us behind the scenes of some of the biggest deals in U.S. corporate history. A fascinating tale with a cast of characters that includes Michael Milken, Ivan Boesky, T. Boone Pickens, Dennis Levine, and most of the other key players of the '70s and '80s takeover era, King Icahn is the first biography of the business buccaneer who changed the course of corporate America.

The only biography on Carl Icahn
Revisado: 08-20-23
Great fan of Carl Icahn. The jealousy and prejudice of the author are palpable so much that you can feel Carl being judged on every page. Every time Carl faced an obstacle, it felt like the author was rooting for other side. That is why I don't trust the author and I wouldn't take the information in this book as a fact. I also wouldn't read anything else from this author if there was any other choice.
