one of the most boring books I've listened to lately. main character only focused on how she's viewed by society and poisoning her husband. her lack of empathy for everyone and nothing actually happening in this book had me tuning out sections.

Skip this book!

The narration was good 👍

Love how Ann Gimpel creates new worlds from what we already know and transports you to another time. This book was no different, from the salty sea to the dragons home world, she captured my attention and made me feel like I was there with the characters. Definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Celts, dragons, magic, and some steamy action between the main characters.

What made the experience of listening to Lars: Shifter Romantic Suspense the most enjoyable?

All of the action throughout the whole book

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lars was my favorite character because even though he's spent 300+ years alone and thought he'd never find his mate he was still a positive trusting character.

Have you listened to any of Gregory Salinas’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, Garen by Ann Gimpel. I liked this one better. I thought there was more inflection in his voice and diversity between characters and accents.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, there was so much action I didn't want to stop listening.

I enjoyed listing to this book even though I'm not usually a fan of a male narrator, he grew on me with the different accents for the characters. Ann Gimpel did another great job giving all of the background details of the story so I could easily picture everything that was going on and how Garen and Lars developed Rubicon International into a large corporation. Lots of steamy action and secrecy between Garen and Miranda as they discover the depths of their feelings for each other. Overall this book had everything I look for in a shifter romance; action, secrets, plenty of steam, revelations, and of course a happy ending.

What did you love best about The Talented Mr. MacGregor?

I enjoyed getting a further look into the characters at Tarker's Hollow and having listened to Curse of the Alpha before this I have a better understanding of the town now.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how it was mostly about the alpha in Mr. MacGregor and how it was taking over his life causing him to do things he doesn't normally do. It made me think of Ainsley and how she struggled with it when she got to town and how it effected the whole pack.

What does Mason Lloyd bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mason Lloyd, for me, brought some humor when he would read the female parts and change his tone of voice for each of the characters.

Any additional comments?

If you've listened to Curse of the Alpha, definitely give this a try as well. The mystery is interesting and what happens between the characters only pulled me in deeper to the town. I'll keep an eye out for more Tarker's Hollow books!

Episodes 5&6 pick up right where 3&4 left off and Ainsley gets answers to the questions that have haunted her since she ran away. I loved these episodes even more than the previous since Ainsley finally starts opening herself to the people she grew up with instead of only focusing on getting back to the city. Tasha Black describes the wolf senses with so much detail I could almost feel what Ainsley was going through.

What did you love best about Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 3 & 4?

Ainsley is finally opening her mind to the workings of her hometown and discovering all the secrets they hold.

Any additional comments?

After listening to the first two episodes I had to find out what happened in these two episodes. I was not dissapointed! Ainsley finally starts down a path where she will either embrace her wolf or run from it forever without looking back. Can't wait to see what happens next with Ainsley and her hometown.
