Historia
Does time exist? What is infinity? Why do mirrors reverse left and right but not up and down? In this scintillating collection, Holt explores the human mind, the cosmos, and the thinkers who’ve tried to encompass the latter with the former. With his trademark clarity and humor, Holt probes the mysteries of quantum mechanics, the quest for the foundations of mathematics, and the nature of logic and truth. Along the way, he offers intimate biographical sketches of celebrated and neglected thinkers, from the physicist Emmy Noether to the computing pioneer Alan Turing and the discoverer of fractals, Benoit Mandelbrot.

Best podcast in the universe

it's most important show to create a balance in your information diet, as well as being so entertaining that once this pandemic is over and you will be back in the office people will look at you funny: why the hell do you keep laughing when listening to a show about politics?

Historia
It's fall 2007. A well-timed leak has revealed that the US government might have engaged in first contact. Cora Sabino is doing everything she can to avoid the whole mess, since the force driving the controversy is her whistleblower father. Even though Cora hasn't spoken to him in years, his celebrity has caught the attention of the press, the internet, the paparazzi, and the government - and with him in hiding, that attention is on her. She neither knows nor cares whether her father's leaks are a hoax and wants nothing to do with him.

Tention was so high that I had to pause the book
Revisado: 08-29-20
I was initially put off by voice acting (especially male one). But pushed through. In the third act tention was so high, that I paused audiobook on few occasions just so I can relax and do something fun. Some technical details seem off in the book, like market prices are hard to follow through audio version, or mechanical voice is getting tiresome at some point. Also sometimes aliens would ignore or won't notice things when it's convenient to the plot (like one time they hear truck from 5 miles away, and then they won't know where to find two screaming girls). Book is really cool though, especially for 2020 it's nice to think that we used to fear things like incompetent lying presidents, losing civil liberties, climate change and alien abductions.
