At the university on Maladaan, Taren has studied everything from genetics and cell communication to Quantum Physics, Astrophysics and ESP. She believes there is an ocean of microscopic vibrations connecting everything in the universe to every other universe - an inter-dimensional field theory.Unbeknownst to Taren, her research and hidden psychic talents are the reason she is called on by the prestigious AMIE space project to investigate an ocean planet and its strange light phenomena.

I would not recommend this book at all. The biggest problem is the story: about every 2 hours a new psychic power is given to yet another character -- just in the nick of time to save this character or that character. It is also just a bunch of love stories with a lot of breathless dialogue that didn't move the plot along very much. The reader is a bit of a problem as well. She couldn't seem to let us know whether the character speaking was male or female. I think if I were a teenager I might have enjoyed it more.

Historia
Richard Hanney is an ordinary man, drawn into mysteries he does not understand, and no one is willing to help him. In these 2 suspense novels written by the father of the modern spy thriller, Hanney must outwit villains in unnerving situations that lay bare the thin veneer separating civilized man from the barbarian.

Not Hitchcock
Revisado: 09-10-12
I think I chose to purchase this audio book because of the Hitchcock film of the same name. I hadn't ever read the actual book and so didn't know what I was getting into. Alas, the whole experience was disappointing because of how dated everything was: story, narration and sound quality. Sigh. I had high hopes.

Overwrought to the point of pain
Revisado: 09-02-11
Perhaps it was Mr Brick's performance - perhaps it was the novel itself -- but if ever hear a character say, "you're not listening" again it'll be too soon. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
