Wonderful, quirky story

I love stories where the setting has as much impact as the characters. Gothic is a weird little town filled with quirky characters that raise your eyebrows but make you smile. Even though Adam and Elle are at the center of the action going on, everyone else, the town included, plays a part in the twist and turns that drive the story along. It pulls you in, keeps you guessing, and leaves you with a satisfied sigh at the end. The bad guys are vanquished and the good guys are left to live their happy ever after.
The narrator did a wonderful job of distinguishing between characters, kept the pace going, and added that extra element that makes the story just that much better.

Emotional second chance story

Evan and Kendall are a couple that belongs together. It took me awhile to get over Evan divorcing Kendall and staying away for 8 years. It made me wonder if they hadn't met again when they both worked for the Wilder Winery how much longer he would have stayed away. But I give Evan credit for realizing right away he did need Kendall in his life and went about making that happen. Kendall was right to be wary but eventually admitted she still loved Evan and it was great how they worked together to make a future for themselves. The story emphasizes communication and family support. I enjoyed it and the satisfying ending.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrators Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell did a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life. Told in alternating points of view, their narration added to the enjoyment of the story.

Interesting story

I enjoyed this story. It was interesting to get an inside look at how things can work in the music industry. I thought it was fun to hear Dolly Parton voice one of the characters. The other narrators did a fine job.
One of the ads I saw for the audiobook made it seem like Dolly's songs were going to be interwoven in the story on audio, which is why I bought it instead of borrowingit. I was very disappointed to find that wasn't true, but still enjoyed the story.

Another great story in this series

I was caught up in the story from the beginning. I waited for the "before " sections to get more of the backstory. I liked how that help build the story. It was great being back in Eve and Roarke's world and visiting with all the great characters. I was glad all the prices were revealed at the end.
Susan Ericksen is the voice of this series for me. She does an excellent job of characterization. I always know who is speaking and appreciate how expressive she is.

Fun set of stories

I enjoyed most of these stories. A couple left me feeling confused, but most were fun glimpses into moments in time of characters i know and love.

Loved these glimpses of Kellen, Max and Rae. Good stories, and the narrator does a wonderful job with characters and intonation.

I loved this story of overcoming past mistakes and forging ahead into a new life with a man who always believed im her. Narration was really good, never lost who was speaking or the thread of the story.

Another great entry in the psy-changling series. Angela Dawe does an outstanding job with the narration. You always know who is speaking. Her inflections and expression really add to the experience.

Great end to the series

I was waiting for the end of Fallon's story and was not disappointed. Fallon finds and trains supporters for her war against the dark uncanny with the help of her family and the other original settlers of New Hope. I loved the light vs. dark battles where the light wins. All the characters are present, working together to take back their country. Fallon and Duncan grow towards their relationship together amongst the strategy and battles. I felt the book brought the trilogy to a good close.
The narrator Julia Whelan did an excellent job with the storytelling. The nuances of each character, the excitement of the action, the intonation of the spells were very good and added to the pleasure of the story.

Another great story

Reading an In Death story is like going to a party and visiting with old friends. Saying hello. catching up with what's going on with everyone, then discussing this latest murder that's happened in the neighborhood. I like that it isn't really figuring out who did it, but more about how to prove that the person you know did it, did it. The story captured my interest beyond the warm feeling of being among friends, and shed light on the horrors of domestic abuse. Great entry for the series and very satisfying.
Susan Ericksen did her usual fine job with the narration. I appreciate never having to wonder who's speaking.
