We are two Americans moving to Australia and thought we could learn about the culture, slang, good, etc. Boy did we get more than we bargained for! A joyride of a story with characters we're endeared to and more laughs out loud than I can remember coming from any book! Thank you for the adventure, imagination, the puns, Aussie-isms, and laugh after laugh.

We checked this out because we're Americans moving to Australia. What a fun way to learn about the culture, slang, food, and more. We love the characters and the story with tons of laughs, references, and jokes sprinkled in. My wife loves it so much she's listening through a second time. On to book 4!

Excellent but probably easier to read than listen

While I'm continuing to learn about the history of the world and the way forward, I found myself lost several times having to go back and fully digest what the author was saying. Probably easier to read than listen to.

great information. mediocre narration. poor audio.

these were really well done condensed versions of court cases from throughout history that explained why law is the way it is today and some of the most important court cases that shape the West. the narrator sounds like he's teaching from a classroom, which is good except the narrator breaks up words and sentences with awkward pauses. this really degrades the listening experience. as for the audio engineering, they were times where I turned my volume up all the way and still couldn't make out what the narrator had said. overall great information but was not a great listing experience.

Great stories and great fun!

My wife and I truly enjoy the Poirot series. These are excellent short stories (less than an hour) by Agatha Christie. In response to other reviews, we had no issues with the narrators. Certainly some were better than others but none noticeably degraded from the story or experience.

Amazing man and outstanding research!

the amazing and assuming life of TR continues in this chronicle of his presidency. The author's knowledge and research is evident in the tiniest details of TR himself, his friends and opponents and anything having done with his presidency. The narration is clear though a bit monotonous at times. The only real fault of the audiobook lies in the dozen or so times that sentences or entire passages are repeated, detracting and distracting from the story.

A story I will not forget

Hard to believe it's a novel but it sounds exactly as I'd imagine the war to be. The insanity, the camaraderie, the hardship, the rage, the meaninglessness and violence and hatred, and unexplainable friendships.
