One of my favorites of all time
Revisado: 08-11-23
At this time, I have probably listened to this incredible audio work a dozen times...and I can easily imagine a time in the future when I will want to hear it one more time. A fan of Hard Science Fiction, this book is perfection to me...the technical details serving to enrich the world in which all of the beautiful characters exist. It was easy to fall in love or vehemently detest the individuals that drove the yarn. Or to see clearly in my mind and believe to be real...the fantastical constructions of the future world.
This book is one of my top 10 of all time.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

A Fun Romp on the Moon
Revisado: 08-11-22
I gave the story 4 stars only because The Martian by the same author sets a high quality bar. Otherwise this audiobook was one of the most enjoyable I have listened to. Rosario Dawson was a FANTASTIC voice actor...and really made the narration so colorful and real. Highly recommended for a fun, yarn to casually listen to for good entertainment.

Historia
A girl grows up in Nunavut in the 1970s. She knows joy and friendship and parents' love. She knows boredom and listlessness and bullying. She knows the tedium of the everyday world and the raw, amoral power of the ice and sky, the seductive energy of the animal world. She knows the ravages of alcohol and violence at the hands of those she should be able to trust. She sees the spirits that surround her and the immense power that dwarfs all of us. When she becomes pregnant, she must navigate all this.

Primal and Beautiful
Revisado: 06-18-22
I don't know how this audiobook ended up in my library. I am never good at finding new titles. But am I ever glad that I found this gem.
The lyrical prose delivered by the author is intoxicating and magical. The scenery and experiences she describes is vivid and visceral. I found myself not an observer of the story but a participant of it through her spirit.
There are stories meant to entertain and others that are didactic. Split Tooth open us up to a world most of us never get to experience or understand. I enjoyed every moment of it.
