Historia
The hardscrabble folks of Troublesome Creek have to scrap for everything - everything except books, that is. Thanks to Roosevelt's Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project, Troublesome's got its very own traveling librarian, Cussy Mary Carter. Cussy's not only a book woman, however, she's also the last of her kind, her skin a shade of blue unlike most anyone else. Not everyone is keen on Cussy's family or the Library Project, and a Blue is often blamed for any whiff of trouble.

Historia
Patricia Campbell's life has never felt smaller. Her ambitious husband is too busy to give her a goodbye kiss in the morning, her kids have their own lives, her senile mother-in-law needs constant care, and she's always a step behind on thank-you notes and her endless list of chores. The one thing she has to look forward to is her book club, a close-knit group of Charleston women united by their love of true crime and paperback fiction. At these meetings they're as likely to talk about the Manson family as they are marriage, motherhood, and neighborhood gossip.

It was alright.
Revisado: 01-26-23
I found myself frustrated by the stupidity of some of the characters. The women acted like it was the 1950s but the book referenced it was set in the 90s. It was somewhat entertaining. I'm not looking up the author to read all his books though.

I'm hooked on another one of her series and thrilled. Her non-linear storytelling style keeps you on the edge of your seat. I'm looking forward to book 2!

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

I'm not a huge Stephen King fan but someone recommended Fairytale and I loved it so I thought I'd try another one. Decent & interesting story. Good narration (at 1.5 speed) but so long and overly detailed. I'm very glad it's over. I wont read it again.

I get it. It was written back in the day when that was accepted. Or was it really? I love many a Hemmingway book. but not this one and I wouldn't recommend it either.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Well read. The narrator reads with emotion & developes each character. The author repeats reactionary & descriptive words but overall it is an interesting story.
