In this book, I explain how to make soap and give you a few simple recipes too. But I hope that is not why you bought this book. My goal is to explain how to create great natural and organic soaps and not just make soaps. There is a difference. You will get to see that difference when you understand each of the ingredients and how they interact and react with each other. You will not have a great business if you are just making carbon copies of a few soaps of other people which your customers can go buy from any local stores.

Nice and Concise
Revisado: 01-03-25
I was looking for a nice introductory soap and business book. I thought this did a great job of giving you a lot of information in a straightforward and easy to understand way. I thought the business tips were good and am very happy with my purchase. I even got the Kindle edition so I can reference that too.

Historia
Viktor E. Frankl was a medical doctor at a psychiatric hospital in 1942 when he became a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps in World War II. In 1946, he published this book about his camp experiences and a method of psychotherapy he developed. Forty-five years later, it was still named one of the most influential books in the United States. Part One describes his three years in four Nazi concentration camps, which took the lives of his wife, father, mother, and brother. He closely observed inmates’ reactions to their situation, as well as how survivors came to terms with their liberation.

What the heck Audible narration?
Revisado: 08-24-24
I really struggled with the narration. I find it ironic that a book whose author advocates strongly against collective guilt has a book narrated by a very neutral voice. I find it very frustrating that the German authors I have listened to on Audible do not have German accented narrators. I feel that this is contributing to collective guilt about the Germany/German language. In this book, a woman asks how he can still write in German, the language of Hitler, as if Hitler invented German. It bothers me on a very deep level that German (or similarly) accented narrators are not used for these books. I have had many books from Scotland or Ireland that are narrated by people with those accents and though it does take me a minute sometimes to get used to the accent, I think it is very important to hear other people way of speaking and expose yourself to various accents and dialects. Obviously, I need this book to be English because I don’t speak German, but you can’t tell me they can’t find an English-speaking German person. I am very disappointed in German narrations.

Teasers, not short stories
Revisado: 07-16-24
This book is a compilation of “stories”. Honestly, I really struggled with this one. The stories seem much more like excerpts from larger stories, so I often felt like I was starting on like the 3rd book in the series and then lots of cliffhangers. I am not sure if these stories are excerpts, but if so, it would be nice if you were told from what books/series. The stories are well written overall, but I felt like I was missing a lot of details and storyline. Left me wanting more and unsatisfied.

Narrator Shock
Revisado: 03-24-24
This book is fantastic, but I’m sad Arnold didn’t read the whole thing. It was a bit of a shock to go from Arnold in the first chapter, to an American sounding generic male voice. I appreciate Arnold came back in the end and it’s still worth the listen, but it would have been better with a different narrator.

Historia
More than any other canonical English writer, Geoffrey Chaucer lived and worked at the center of political life - yet his poems are anything but conventional. Edgy, complicated, and often dark, they reflect a conflicted world, and their astonishing diversity and innovative language earned Chaucer renown as the father of English literature. Marion Turner, however, reveals him as a great European writer and thinker.

Not a typical biography
Revisado: 08-01-23
While this book is an amazing history covering the time period of Chaucer’s life, I would categorize it more as a history centered around Chaucer as opposed to a biography. Though I feel that I learned a ton about the period; there are a lot of names and dates that get thrown out at you and I think having familiarity with world events in the 1300’s would be helpful. I also understand why she organized by places, but I was very unused to a non-linear timeline and kept trying to remember who was alive, dead, etc. as years are talked about with relevance, not time order.

Good, but disturbing
Revisado: 10-05-22
Would I say this book has great writing? Yes. Could I put it down? Only when required. Would I recommend this book? Yes, but not to everyone. If it is intense, creepy, horrifying, and sometimes gory. But the writing was very well done and it had me intrigued and wanting to know how it ended right up until the last few minutes. The narrations are well done as well.

I HATE THIS NEW DOWNLOAD FORMAT
Revisado: 04-16-21
The audiobook was amazing as always; Brandon Sanderson lives up to my expectations in every way, but I HATE how the download was split in to 5 parts, for “convenience”. This was so frustrating for me. I mainly listen in my car and the fact that I had to scroll yo select which part was very frustrating if I was trying to resume listening after taking a phone call for instance. I hated the story getting interrupted at the end of each part telling you that you should have the next part in your library and that you should go to that next part and that this is all for your convenience. I did not find this convenient at all. Anyone who has made it this far in the series knows that this is a long book and to prepare for downloading. Please do not do this format with future books.

Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Jim Dale Made Me Love HP
Revisado: 05-08-20
I love Jim Dale’s narration of this series! I first listened to it on cassette tapes on my way to Mesa Verde right around age 11. I re-listen to them regularly and am enchanted every time! I love his character voices and, of course, the story is amazing. So glad to add it to my Audible Library!

Not what I was looking for, but not bad
Revisado: 09-01-19
I wanted more information about the Caesars particularly. Not that this didn’t have that, but it was much more about the politics and less about the Emperors. Kinda felt about this as I did A Feast for Crows; I understand why it’s important and good to know, but not as interesting as the battle and adventure filled books . I learned a lot, but found it textbookish and mainly covered the first 700 years of Rome. That was interesting, but as I said, not the most intriguing years for me. Still a great and informative read.

Bad Narrator
Revisado: 09-14-18
This is the first book from Audible that I have truly disliked the narrator; like Christian Bale’s Batman drank a bottle of whiskey and smoked 10 packs of cigarettes. Especially since you know what Joe Biden and Barack Obama sound like, it was tough for me to listen to. Cute story with laugh out loud moments though.
