Great Story, but .....

not so great narration. I love this entire series; even own all the titles in hardcover. As always, the plot is fun and twisty, bringing cameos from Savich & Sherlock once again. Witty and humorous and intelligent, none of the characters disappoint. But to my mind, the narration just didn't fit. The female voices were not well done, and tended to blend together. The male voices were better, but still not great. Overall, it was okay. I'm glad I listened to keep the continity of the series, but that's about all I can say.

Great story, Not so great narrator

First off, this is a fast paced. fun, and sexy story. I've yet to read a story by Michele Mills that I didn't enjoy. However, the narrator leaves alot to be desired. While his voice conjures up walking New Orleans in the evening, it doesn't fit the story. As well, his attempts at various voices is atrocious! I'd happily listen to him read a story straight.... as long as it was set in the South.

Best of the series

While everything Nalini Singh writes is gold, for this series, this story is my favorite. Gabriel and Charlie are something special. Their chemistry jumps off the page, but that's not all there is to their relationship. Friendship, love and devotion all develop with each humorous exchange. But what makes this relationship beautiful is the patience and loyalty and determination of Gabriel and the emotional courage and strength of Charlotte. And Nalini Singh knows exactly when to insert a light-hearted moment to make you laugh out loud. And as a narrator, Justine O. Keef does an absolutely brilliant job. Her voices for these characters are spot on, allowing you to simply fall into the story!

Amazing Series

I've read and re-read this series for years, and the audiobooks bring a whole other dimension to it. Compelling and intriguing, with just the right amount of snark and humor, you cannot go wrong with any in this series. But I must note that while each narrator is good in their own right, each story has a different one. Listening to them back to back, the change is a bit jarring.

I loved listening to this audiobook! The story is captivating - sexy, sweet, and intriguing. And the narrator's voice is spot on! His voices are perfect. Definitely hoping the next in this series is turned into an audiobook as well!!

Amazing new series with Incredible Narration

First off, the story: Incredible! I've read this book several times now, and each time I find more to like, more that makes me smile and giggle. I adore what a strong and loving personality Riley has. She makes the best of of any situation, and never expected to end up a nanny. But I loved how as soon as she set eyes on Aegir's twins, she began to fall in love, and very quickly became more Mom than nanny. And I found her initial reaction to Aegir hilarious! I found Aegir to be sexy, loyal, driven, and dedicated to his family. I really liked the contradiction of Hyrrokins looking like our idea of the devil and their highly honorable, loving, loyal natures. Aegir, from almost the very first moment, refers to Riley as "his human". Hilarious situations, a sexy single dad, a curvy and nurturing nanny, a sharing of cultures, and a wonderful but eccentric extended family make this a story not to be missed! I cannot wait to read the next in this series!
Second, the narration: This is soooo much better than what I imagined! I love that there are two narrators, one for Riley and one for Aegir. Their inflections are perfect, the emotions conveyed real and exciting. The humor so evident in the written word is very much present in the audiobook. I;m very much looking forward to hearing the author's next work produced as an audiobook as well!

Fast & Sexy

Each story features a different member of the MC, and each MC member is a different type of shifter. Incredibly fun! Although the circumstances under which they meet their mates is less than ideal, the heroes all prevail. A bit dark, but lots of fun! And very well narrated. Well worth listening to more than once!

This is a fast listen, perfect for when you're put running errands! Well written with lots of heat, plenty of action and adventure, and just a touch of the paranormal. The narrator did an excellent job on the different character voices. I know I'll be listening to this one again!
