Historia
When Covid-19 forced a sudden shift to remote work in 2020, it only exacerbated what had been a long-simmering issue in the workplace: Feelings of isolation and loneliness among employees are on the rise, and contribute to a real and growing mental health problem that affects both individuals and organizations. In Connectable, you'll learn how addressing the issues - and finding practical, effective solutions - can transform an isolated workforce to one that's happier, more engaged, and more productive in their efforts.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

It’s already a classic in my “book.” First listened to it 12 or 14 years ago, and I enjoyed revisiting it.

The methods contained within this book are so simple, so instantaneous, and so effective, it’s as if they work by magic. If you implement even one tactic in this book, you’ll see the change in your prospects' demeanor. And you’ll know the $100M Offers method worked when you start hearing, “What do I need to do to move forward?” before you even ask for the sale.

Great info, but…
Revisado: 02-02-22
There’s plenty of valuable info here (some of which I already knew), but consuming it in this format was not ideal.
The author races through the book and, more times than I can count, fails to enunciate clearly. It is quite obvious that he is attempting to get through this chore as fast as he possibly can. This often requires the listener to go back and re-listen to a particular sentence or a phrase multiple times.
As well, there are numerous times where content from the physical or e-book version has not been altered to reflect that this is an audiobook. Example, references to things “above”, “below”, etc.
I will likely pick up the other volumes, but not the audiobook versions.

Bought it twice!
Revisado: 02-01-20
I was getting so much out of the audiobook that about halfway through I purchased a physical copy too.
As someone who is always looking to improve my skills as a presenter, I found the book to be incredibly useful and actionable.
Upon finishing it, I immediately went back to the beginning to consume it all over again. I very much want to begin putting Brant’s teachings into action right away.
Great book!

Historia
Creativity, Inc. is a manual for anyone who strives for originality and the first-ever all-access trip into the nerve center of Pixar Animation - into the meetings, postmortems, and “Braintrust” sessions where some of the most successful films in history are made. It is, at heart, a book about creativity - but it is also, as Pixar cofounder and president Ed Catmull writes, “an expression of the ideas that I believe make the best in us possible”.
