Historia
A kid walks into your bookstore and says to you, Guess what? I'm your son. The one you put up for adoption seventeen years ago. The one you never told anyone about. Surprise! His name is Matthew Walker, and he's come to spend the summer on the Cape with his parents. Why? Well, he wants to meet you before he heads off to college in the fall. Tiny detail—he didn't tell his adoptive parents about his plan. And while you hoped this day would come someday, you're so stunned, you actually faint.

Main character voice is awful
Revisado: 02-25-25
I had to DNF this audiobook. The voice of the main character is hard to hear even with valine turned all the way up. Not sure how her voice deemed as acceptable?! Made listening to this cringey. Maybe this would be better eye-reading - but definitely NOT worth listening to.

Revisado: 09-06-24
Couldn’t stop listening! Beautiful story, loved the range of characters- their flaws, their endearing qualities and complexities. I took a moment to pause considering my frustrations with some of those complex choices a few characters made & the reasoning to extend grace. This was so masterfully written. One of the best reads of ‘24.
