First, I absolutely adore Gary Furlong as a narrator. I started this series because of him.
Second, I absolutely love this little novella. Melvin and Ezra have stolen my heart, second in this saga to Blaine and Hanovi (forgive my spelling, I've only listened to it thus far). Ezra has that tired, stressed vibe someone crushed under capitalism does, with the added fear of the debt collectors thrown in. Melvin is the charming noble everyone wants at some point in their life, and the voice Gary uses for Melvin reminds me of his voice for Gerard Breckingridge from the Soulbound series, which I adore.
I definitely recommend this, whether you listen to this first or after the main novels, you won't regret it.

i was absolutely enthralled. i know others are complaining about tristan's narrator, but i completely disagree. i love how passionate and emotional they are. i feel like all the narrators fit their characters' voices beautifully, and it not only kept my attention but i didnt want to stop listening either. I can't wait for the next one! i hope the same folks narrate it too.
