Historia
In the mid-70s, Steve Martin exploded onto the comedy scene. By 1978 he was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Standing Up is, in his own words, the story of "why I did stand-up and why I walked away".

Is this the REAL Steve???
Revisado: 05-28-24
Makes me wish I knew him as a dude. He's an icon, to be sure, and we all 'know' him. I just wish I could have been one of those friends he knew well enough to be friends, but not well enough to be mentioned.

Wonderful intro!
Revisado: 02-13-24
Most of the “Come, Follow Me“ podcasts go through the section of scriptures, being referenced in the lesson, giving their own commentary on what it says, and means. While that is valuable, and I mean no disrespect in these comments to those fine individuals, there is something significant that is missing: the actual lesson!
Having this podcast, which actually narrates the lesson and scriptures as they appear in it, is a sublime way to augment your own personal study.
So, even if you are listening to another podcast, I sincerely suggest you listen to this one as well!

The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

Gates/Fauci are the new Hitler/Stalin
Revisado: 09-14-23
This is not a “light reading“ book. It is so information dense that you will end up listening to parts of it more than once!
Bottom line, though, could be summarized like this:
My grandkids, who are now in public school, and THEIR kids, will grow up in a world, where the examples of ultimate evil will be Fauci and Gates. For my generation, it was Hitler and Stalin. But when the truth becomes generally understood, the Fauci/Gates empire will dwarf every proceeding attempt at building an evil empire.
After you listen to this tome, I think you will feel exactly the same way…

What it’s all about…
Revisado: 09-03-23
There are a number of very excellent podcasts where they go through each verse in great detail. While those are great for scriptural literacy, that’s not exactly what the come. Follow me program is all about.
CFM is all about learning simple Gospel doctrines, which are found within the passage. While deep scriptural mastery is a wonderful goal, it is not the reason why these lessons were designed the way they are.
This podcast highlights exactly what the lesson is trying to teach us, without all of the other stuff cluttering it up.

Historia
When Charles Darwin finished The Origin of Species, he thought that he had explained every clue but one. Though his theory could explain many facts, Darwin knew that there was a significant event in the history of life that his theory did not explain. During this event, the "Cambrian explosion", many animals suddenly appeared in the fossil record without apparent ancestors in earlier layers of rock. In Darwin's Doubt, Stephen C. Meyer tells the story of the mystery surrounding this explosion of animal life.

Revisado: 01-26-23
This book is a tour de force discussion about the weaknesses of the current incarnation of neo Darwinism. It very carefully addresses each of the salient arguments, against intelligent design, and the weaknesses embedded in the neo Darwinist dogma. It should legitimately be included in every undergraduate biology program.

The stuff of conspiracy theories makes for great, entertaining stories in movies, books, and television. And there is no shortage of subjects: from who really killed JFK to the truth behind 9/11. And then, there are subjects from alien invasions to the Moon landing was simulated - theories that are truly out of this world, which according to some, is flat. Many of these crazy concepts have jumped off the pages or screens to become so pervasive in our culture that thousands - even millions - subscribe to them as reality.

The real value requires mining through the lectures to find the gems.
Revisado: 01-09-23
The first several lectures lay some valuable groundwork. I took pages of notes from them.
There is also a lecture where we are given the “baloney detection kit“ and “conspiracy theory detection kit.“ In theory, these “rules“ are meant to help us determine if something is true or false. Or, at least, if there is any reason to believe it.
The more I pondered on these points, the more reasonable most of them sounded, so I left them as they were to consider some other conspiracy theories I have encountered.
There are several conspiracy theories, which are “thoroughly addressed“ in these lectures, in theory, to help us understand how false they are – or, potentially, what parts may be true.
What I discovered going through these proposed proofs, is that the “conspiracy theory detection kit“ works just as well as a “conspiracy theory explanation detection kit.”
Basically, all of the proposed explanations suffered from the same issues that the lectures tell us false conspiracy theories suffer from, to the same degree, and in the same ways. Frankly, the most valuable thing I am walking away from these lectures is THAT reality.
While it is true that every conspiracy theory has a fair percentage of “facts“ which are really nothing more than conjecture, the same thing can be said for those who wish to denounce them by presenting their own “facts.“
Having said that much, I am NOT trying to say that the information provided and/or the potential proofs given are not without merit. Most of the conspiracy theories that I, personally, follow fall into the category of “I don’t necessarily believe it but I do not necessarily reject it.“ furthermore, some of the conspiracy theories that fall into this group were not the same as the ones Michael attempted to debunk. Therefore, is proof failed for ME. But at the same time, some of the information actually did point me in a direction where I could find actual data that refuted points that I had concerns about.
So, in the final analysis, these lectures are valuable, and give good information. I would recommend them to you because of that. But, as the title of my review states: you have to dig the gems out of the presentation.

Historia
Naming Darwin's Black Box to the National Review's list of the 100 most important nonfiction works of the 20th century, George Gilder wrote that it "overthrows Darwin at the end of the 20th century in the same way that quantum theory overthrew Newton at the beginning". Discussing the book in the New Yorker in May 2005, H. Allen Orr said of Behe, "He is the most prominent of the small circle of scientists working on intelligent design, and his arguments are by far the best known."

Great layman’s level explanations
Revisado: 11-05-22
I have watched way more than a dozen YouTube videos with Michael be he explaining this book before I listened to it, so I was familiar with what was about to be presented. His ability to describe these things in ways that the layman can understand was impressive!
He used enough technical jargon to make his work feel authentic and accurate, as well as let you know that he does not consider his listeners to be “too dumb to understand.“
At the same time, he used enough descriptions that were at the layman’s level so that us “normies” can understand.

Outstanding Summary
Revisado: 10-31-22
It won’t be long before any scientist who refuses to acknowledge intelligent design will have a seat at the table with the adults. That will not be because the intelligent design folks restrict them, but because the neo Darwinists will refuse to sit there.
For anyone who wants a fairly complete introduction into intelligent design, this book and audio will do it for them! This may be the most complete introduction I have seen in my three years of researching this topic.
