Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Understandable concepts that are easy to use. The narrator was excellent with great cadence, tone and clarity. Will definitely re-read/listen to help incorporate easier concepts and understand some of the more complex concepts. Overall an excellent book.

Not What I Expected

Not what I thought. Very basic information geared more toward young adults which is fine but not helpful for me. Didn't care for the readers voice.

Historia
Every life reaches that crucial intersection, the place where you must choose your fate, or have it chosen for you. For best-selling author Rich Cohen (The Fish That Ate the Whale, The Last Pirate of New York), it came in a writing workshop senior year in college, when, at 17, he had to knuckle under to a ruthless professor or make a righteous, self-defeating stand.

I didn't really understand what the point of this book was. I see what the narrative says, but it seemed unclear and scattered to me. Didn't really see the "crossroads" and felt like I started in the middle of this story somehow. Didn't care for this.

Historia
In Dr. Mark McConville's decades of experience as a family clinical psychologist, perhaps no problem has been more fraught than that of young adults who fail to successfully transition from adolescence into adulthood. These kids - technically adults - just can't get it together: They can't hold a job, they struggle to develop meaningful relationships, and they often end up back in their parents' spare bedroom or on the couch. In fact, studies show that one in four Americans aged 25 to 34 neither work nor attend school - a problem that spans all socioeconomic and geographic boundaries.

Absolutely love this book. I have listened to it previously, maybe 3-4 years ago and this updated version is even better. I have the older CD set. Always get more great information from the material and better spiritual understanding for myself. Great stories to drive a point home and easy to listen to.

Could Not Listen to Narrator
Revisado: 06-13-20
I tried, but couldn't get through more than about 20 minutes of this book. I really thought it would be great based on all the rave reviews, and maybe it is if you can stand to listen to it. The narration had a very odd timing and was in a sing-song manner. Emphasis on words and syllables was very strange and the inflections were odd to me. I just could not listen and really hear what was being said because I was concentrating so much of the way it was being said and had trouble understanding some of the words. Much too difficult to listen to. Unfortunate, because I was really looking forward to this book being helpful.
