Beautiful Duet

I love that this book was performed as a duet! Both Shane East & Vanessa Edwin are great on their own, but together it was beautiful. Book was funny & moving & I felt invested in the characters. Would listen again.

It Was Interesting.....

This book was definitely interesting... I liked it well enough and it was different then what I've been reading for sure. A good integration of your typical rock star romance and magical paranormal. Unfortunately while the poetic speech was nice enough & even pleasing to hear at certain parts, other times when they started speaking in lyrics it was just distracting.
I also felt that a prolog or something that gave us a bit of a back story or better idea of his history, abilities etc... would have made it better. Something like what Christina Dodd did for her Darkness Chosen series would have been cool, especially with how heavy this book was on poetical speak

Narrator Is Fantastic

This is my first listen from this narrator & I loved her performance! She does such a good job distinguishing the characters.
The book itself was good but not fantastic. While the character development for the main characters was good, it was hard to see the Hero's redeeming qualities. I did like that she finally stood up for herself at the end. I'll definitely listen to the next in the series.

It's Like A Soap Opera

I read these books several years ago but quit around book 10 or 11. I remembered really enjoying the stories & characters but forgot just how irritating all the jumping for one set of characters to another was. By this book so many more characters have been introduced to the world & we're following all of their stories as we go.
It reminds me of a soap opera the way you have a short clip of what's going on here & then it jumps to what's going on over there at essentially a cliff hanger chapter end. It's annoying & if you think it's only because of how much is going on in this book & the next one will be better it's not. This is the same spot it really started to bother me the last time I read these books & I didn't get too much further b4 I gave up.
Once again I think I'm going to put this series aside, even though I was looking forward to getting to some of the characters stories we've only barely been introduced to so far. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up where I left off in the not to distant future. If I take it in pieces maybe I'll be able to get all the way through it.

Another Win From Dianne Duvall

This book didn't really leave off on a cliffhanger but damn if it didn't almost feel like it. And the sneak peak of the next book left me dying for it to come out! I don't want to leave any spoilers but I can't wait to see how the couple in the next book come together & get through their trials...

The Long Awkward Pauses

Jim Frangione does a pretty good job in his narrations so long as you can get passed how deep his voice still is when speaking for female characters... but jeez the long pauses between chapters & storyline transitions are annoyingly awkward. More than once I found myself checking my device to see why it stopped playing, only to have it start again.

A Good Listen

This was a nice book to listen to. While I didn't love it, I did enjoy it. It was a simple sweet story. The narrator also did a decent job. My only complaint is that she sometimes speaks in too high of a voice for the male lead. She had the ability to speak deeper but sometimes spoke in the same voice as she uses for the female lead which made it hard to differentiate who was speaking.

Fantastic Narrator

The book was good, not Graham's best but still good. It was the narrator though who made this a great listen. Her voices are superb in my opinion. You can tell when she's reading vs when people are talking, you tell the difference between different characters & her make voices are believable. I'll definitely look for more books read by this narrator.

Was This Seriously By Linda Lael Miller??

I've read many books by Linda Lael Miller and usually I love them, but this one was awful! I couldn't even finish it! I didn't like the main characters, their "love" didn't make any sense, and you could see right through the manipulations of her ex & yet somehow she fell right into them (cue eye roll).
