Historia
From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. It’s the near future and seven years since a comet hit the earth and blotted out the sun. The world is a dark, frozen landscape. And then, beastly creatures emerge and take over. A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark.

Engrossing performance
Revisado: 03-01-22
What a triumph, please give us more! This was an extremely well-performed drama with interesting world-building different enough from the standard fare to really shine.

Historia
Since the 1970s, FantasticLand has been the theme park where "Fun is Guaranteed!" But when a hurricane ravages the Florida coast and isolates the park, the employees find it anything but fun. Five weeks later, the authorities who rescue the survivors encounter a scene of horror. Photos soon emerge online of heads on spikes outside of rides and viscera and human bones littering the gift shops, breaking records for hits, views, likes, clicks, and shares.

Close to Incredible.
Revisado: 01-22-22
The performance by both readers was excellent. Even when there are concurrent chapters with the same performer the voices are distinct. The narrators infuse personality to the characters that the author may not have originally, and this is for the better.
While the writing of the story is technically fine, it's not anything particularly special. But the story itself, the alternate interpretations offered in-universe elevates the story to something truly excellent.
Not a horror fan myself but nothing went too for or took away from the narrative in my mind.

Historia
This panoramic fictional oral history begins with one small mystery: the body of a young woman found in an Arizona border town, presumed to be an illegal immigrant, disappears from the town morgue. Soon, the US government - and eventually biomedical researchers, disgruntled lawmakers, and even an insurgent faction of the Catholic Church - must come to terms with what they're too late to stop: an epidemic of vampirism that will sweep first the United States, and then the world. With heightened strength and beauty and a steady diet of fresh blood, these changed people, or "Gloamings", rapidly rise to prominence in all aspects of modern society.

A bit underwhelming.

Performances were solid and engaging. Story is meandering unfortunately. Would really like to have a further expansion of this alternate world, the historical implications and the developing socio-political ramifications.
