Historia
Nations tremble and dragongods fall, when a hero takes revenge. They should not have touched Alron's women. Alron was the strongest dragon-core warrior of Fivewyrm Ascendancy, a master of his draconic vestiges. Now, a hundred years past his prime, Alron learns of the Ascendancy's betrayal against him and declares war against the entire nation. He faces armies of draconic beasts, legions dragon-core warriors, a powerful military of dragonfire fueled technology, and even the planet-sized dragongods; who fly between stars and end worlds in one breath.

Historia
Dr. Jamison is one of the foremost authorities on manic-depressive (bipolar) illness; she has also experienced it firsthand. For even while she was pursuing her career in academic medicine, Jamison found herself succumbing to the same exhilarating highs and catastrophic depressions that afflicted many of her patients, as her disorder launched her into ruinous spending sprees, episodes of violence, and an attempted suicide.

I found her use of adjectives to be annoying at times. Overall I enjoyed learning about her perspective of bipolar disorder. I didn't really get into her love life parts. I can see why she talks about her love life as it seems to be a big part of her experience with bipolar.

Historia
God Is Disappointed in You is for people who would like to read the Bible...if it would just cut to the chase. Stripped of its arcane language and interminable passages, every book of the Bible is condensed down to its core message, in no more than a few pages each. Written by Mark Russell with cartoons by New Yorker cartoonist Shannon Wheeler, God Is Disappointed in You is a frequently hilarious, often shocking, but always accurate retelling of the Bible, including the parts selectively left out by Sunday School teachers.

Who understood the risk inherent in the assumption of ever-rising real-estate prices, a risk compounded daily by the creation of those arcane, artificial securities loosely based on piles of doubtful mortgages? Michael Lewis turns the inquiry on its head to create a fresh, character-driven narrative brimming with indignation and dark humor, a fitting sequel to his number-one best-selling Liar’s Poker.

Historia
In 1971, President Nixon imposed national price controls and took the United States off the gold standard, an extreme measure intended to end an ongoing currency war that had destroyed faith in the U.S. dollar. Today we are engaged in a new currency war, and this time the consequences will be far worse than those that confronted Nixon. Currency wars are one of the most destructive and feared outcomes in international economics.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
The concept that countries are actively managing currencies and that it has been happening for a long time. That this time is truly not different except in magnitude and reach.

Historia
In Liberty Defined, congressman and #1 New York Times bestselling author Ron Paul returns with his most provocative, comprehensive, and compelling arguments for personal freedom to date. The term "Liberty" is so commonly used in our country that it has become a mere cliché. But do we know what it means? What it promises? How it factors into our daily lives? And most importantly, can we recognize tyranny when it is sold to us disguised as a form of liberty? Dr. Paul writes that to believe in liberty is not to believe in any particular social and economic outcome.

Revisado: 01-30-12
Would you listen to Liberty Defined again? Why?
Yes, it was a great book to teach about the virtues of individual liberty and how it cannot be compromised. It is very interesting and it is a good reminder of why freedom is so important.
