Sexy and fun!!

Nice to see what it looks like when a strong heroine who has a backbone is paired with the same type of alpha, can’t ever love again, demanding, jerks. It’s changes the dynamics of the story, makes for a far more interesting read and you really believe and understand why our hero sees something special in our h. Because she’s written that way. The story didn’t reinvent the wheel but it still somehow felt engaging from the start (well..took until about 20%) And it’s SUPER hot and sexy too.

WHY? WHO? This was like someone picked every topic no one wants to hear about in romance, threw it in one of those lotto ball machines and ALL the wrong ones came out. I'm sorry Andi and Sebastian (you're amazing as always) but you guys only enhance the story. Can sometimes save a story. But don't write a story. This was just depressing with no actual love story between between any of the characters.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Wrapped up WAY to fast but since I was struggling caring about either character at this point I didn't take too much issue though it could have turned the book around if the ending had way more to it.
Have you listened to any of Andi Arndt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Love her. She could do no wrong by me.

I always mean to post reviews but then I listen to 5 more books and don't go back. But tha changes TODAY! The first 2/3 of this book was charming, funny, sweet, sexy and original. I loved our hero and a nice strong heroine who was not so easy to forgive....UNTIL later in the book where I had suffered from rollercoaster whiplash. All of a sudden our h loses her backbone and becomes a walking, talking doormat. I found myself yelling at the dashboard in my car, which may have been entertaining to those stuck in traffic around me but was NOT entertaining to me. I was ashamed for her and really surprised Kylie Scott went the way she did with our h. I'm also surprised by so many reviews "oh, sweet Joe, it's OK" or "Joe totally makes up for his mistakes" or "wish Joe was my book boyfriend". I am a big fan of Kylie Scott's books and have listened to over 200 romance books in the last year and a half (productive insomnia!!)/ And I definitely cracked many a smiles throughout the first 2/3 of the book. But I came very close to shutting it off. So if you are someone who enjoys those shows/books that make you super uncomfortable for people then this may be the book for you! Or sit back and really enjoy a delightful chunk of a book.
