This is the most beautiful and devastating book I've read in decades. It is honest and horrifying and unflinching and brave and... well, words do not suffice without spoiling the read.

The reader sounded so....sweet. She would describe horrible events as if talking a toddler's birthday party. She would probably be great at reading children's books.
