simple but adds to the Malazan lore
Revisado: 01-22-18
some great surprises for readers of the Malazan series so it's worth it for that alone. I found the narrator made me feel like I was listening to a children's storybook at times.

brilliant production
Revisado: 12-10-16
I own all of Abercrombie's books in print and then I discovered the amazing narration of Mr Pacey and bought all the Audible versions of The First Law.
If you like the series you need to hear it read aloud to you.

Historia
It’s 1996, and Reacher is still in the army. In the morning they give him a medal, and in the afternoon they send him back to school. That night he’s off the grid. Out of sight, out of mind. Two other men are in the classroom—an FBI agent and a CIA analyst. Each is a first-rate operator, each is fresh off a big win, and each is wondering what the hell they are doing there. Then they find out: A Jihadist sleeper cell in Hamburg, Germany, has received an unexpected visitor—a Saudi courier, seeking safe haven while waiting to rendezvous with persons unknown.

classic reacher!

an awesome performance. a lot more cerebral and less violent than other Reacher books but definitely one to add to the collection. Some familiar characters from later books appear here too.

Historia
They say that the Thorn of Camorr can beat anyone in a fight. They say he steals from the rich and gives to the poor. They say he's part man, part myth, and mostly street-corner rumor. And they are wrong on every count. Only averagely tall, slender, and god-awful with a sword, Locke Lamora is the fabled Thorn, and the greatest weapons at his disposal are his wit and cunning. He steals from the rich - they're the only ones worth stealing from - but the poor can go steal for themselves.
