Historia
Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after. But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it.

Historia
Hours later, the man’s cold body lies in the city mortuary, alongside the woman he couldn’t save. And his sister, unconventional nurse Gemma Tate, tracks down troubled police inspector Sebastian Bell to unravel the truth. Sebastian has enough pressure to solve the murder of an aristocratic heiress without Gemma meddling in his case. But the cryptic sentences she brings him from her brother’s notebook could be a crucial lead. If only they knew what “milky way” meant.

I tried and tried to stick with it, but I had to stop. The story may be pretty good, but the person narrating it was just too much!

By far the most fulfilling series ever written!
Revisado: 11-02-23
Just amazing how Lucinda Riley could imagine such a story. Even in her final days wanting to be true to it, and then her son coming in to write, the final book was just the icing on the cake.

I am listening to the series in order and just have to say what a joy it is. I would love the story to continue a little longer. Each book seems to stop short before launching so perfectly into next sister’s book. Have loved them all so far!

I was not disappointed The Disappearing Act was just as good. I also love that she narrates her books herself she has a great voice and timing. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Depressing!

I purchased this book because it had a high rating. It was depressing! The author is obviously talented but the subject matter and the characters have so many issues with no redeeming qualities that i could not finish. The narrator was very good.
