Enjoyable story telling

The Eddie Flynn series is one of my favorites—great storytelling, fast pacing and engaging characters make me look forward each installment. The only downside is that now I have to wait for the next one. I highly recommend this book but if you are new to Steve Cavanagh’s books, start with the first one.

Fast paced and entertaining.

This was my second Simon Gervais novel but will definitely not be the last. I enjoyed the fast paced action and brilliantly performed by the narrator. I am looking forward to reading more.

Disappointing

Wonderful storytelling!

I enjoyed this latest installment from Michael Stagg. This story was engaging with an interesting plot and well-rounded characters. I am looking forward to whatever novel this author writes next! I recommend this book (and the series) highly.

Mildly interesting

Interesting story but too drawn out with little payoff. The “twist” did not compensate for the hours expended in listening to this book. I enjoyed Mr. Donlea’s other books and decided to listen to his entire catalog. This one was the most boring. I have one left to go and hope it’s more entertaining than this one.

The best book from this author

I think this is the best book I’ve read (thus far) from this author. The others I have read were interesting but tended to drag in places or have unnecessary plot diversions. Conversely, Long Time Gone started hot and remained so throughout. I felt compelled to listen. I’m going to listen to more of Mr. Donlea’s books in hopes that my experience with this book is repeated. I recommend this audiobook highly.

Good story.

I enjoyed the story and found it to be a worthwhile listen. The narration made it difficult at times to know which character was speaking or whether the dialogue was just internal or spoken to another character. Overall, I was pleased with the way Lacy’s story ended.

My first Grisham book

The story started a little slow and I considered returning it a couple of times. I’m glad I didn’t as it began to pick up and became quite interesting. I’m looking forward to listening to the next installment.

Another excellent read!

This is another excellent book by Peter Swanson! His characters are written devilishly clever without being campy. I hope he will write more books featuring Lily Kitner. I will be first in line to read them (or listen, as the case may be). I definitely recommend this book.
