I am a HUGE adam savage fan... WHO ISNT?! and a big fan of futurology and stuff. A lot of the people in the book don't really care for humanity as much as they should... but there was one woman in the book that was printing medical equipment for those impacted by poverty and natural disasters and that was really amazing.
When Savage gets excited about something I got excited to, and he is so great at narrating he has this way to make you want to get out and do things and get involved and feel like you're in the thick of it! He's just SO happy, so thrilled that I understand it can be a bit much for some people because alot of the concepts presented here are abstract ideas that are objectified as not having clear cut implications or applications to improve the world.
What I found the most riveting was some of the things which are already being used in society today. I kind of felt that parts of the book were quite out of touch with reality (but again reality is objectionable and of course my medium wage waitressing college student reality may not be similar to that of a TV personality or someone who blew things up for a living.)
I think that this is going to age well... And it made me feel a bit more informed but I guess the Jeff Bezos part kind of rubbed me the wrong way because it felt like name dropping for the sake of name dropping and it could have been kept anonymous...!

Historia
I’m Sorcha McMurphy. I thought magic didn’t exist until I found a stolen dragon hatchling and got a letter of acceptance to a supernatural school for dragon riders. I’m literally flown away to a college that teaches sword fighting, magic casting, and general ass-kicking. Here, the dragon clans are at war, and there’s an evil that threatens to destroy the riders forever. They think I’m the chosen one destined to save the clans, but I’m no hero. If only I could stop myself from loving the cursed guy in my dragon keeping class long enough to save the world.

Narrator was great.. Story was really bad.
Revisado: 11-19-19
I wanted to like this book a lot more than I did. There were some things I loved (the dragons and the world) and somethings I didn't love (like the main character, and so that is why I am giving this a lower rating...) I liked it enough to finish it, and I wanted to see what happened, however I really hated quite a few things here. Namely, I disliked the main character. A lot. She was unsympathetic, naturally good at everything and of course I expected nothing less, but I like twists in my fiction or a bit of unpredictability and sadly I saw the twists coming a mile away. It's not interesting to have a character instantly be good at everything.......... SPOILERS AHEAD ...
I am really displeased that the bad guy was evil just "BECAUSE" and especially the turn at the end where he randomly tries to kill Torren? Like why? And I was disappointed with how mad Sorsha(sp?) gets at Oliver, because if she was in his position she would do the same thing to save her own dragon. She's thirsty as hell and basically objectifies him ALL the time, and it made me feel weird - imagine if a male character talked about a female that way? I mean this was extreme. Lines like "I'm so wet" just kinda gross for a YA novel.
With that said, the narrator was AMAZING. Her voice reminds me a lot of Jeorjeana Marie and I can't help but wonder if maybe this is a different stage name for that narrator. Something about it is really familiar. Anyway, I listened until the end. I think I'd read the next book just because the voices were pretty entertaining and I finished it in a day. I don't understand the reviews she has a nasally voice or was "awful" at doing male voices. She's great. She sounds young and she does an amazing job with tons of accents, (American, Irish or Celtic, British, whatever) and her male voices are great (especially the male love interest!) She had a different voice/personality for every character.
I really wish Sorsha's sister was in the book more because I really liked her relationship with her sister but again I didn't really understand the reason that she would employ her own sister and keep it a secret while letting her be abused.. yeah very much a rip off of Harry Potter. I also laughed so hard during the first confrontation with Sorsha's adopted family that I cried because they were just mean for the reason of being mean instead of actually disliking her for a reason. White Oleander has abusive foster parents portrayed accurately and I dunno. This was a guilty pleasure I guess... Like putting on a Justin Bieber song and dancing alone in your room.

The wait is over. After a two-year investigation, the results of The Mueller Report have been released to the public. Now listen to an audio version of one of the most talked about government documents in history. These are the redacted findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team, which was tasked with investigating Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections, including exploring any links or coordination between President Donald J. Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and the Russian government.

CRAZINESS
Revisado: 11-19-19
So whats great about this is that it contains the entire investigation and full cast of characters and timelines. I think people aren't actually bothering to read this book. The only thing is there is a lot that has been redacted. And that's disappointing. There is overwhelming indisputable evidence of Russia's interference in the election to the benefit of President Trump, which includes spanning social media campaigns and wow it was crazy, honestly. Trump lies a lot and threatens people, pressures people and abuses his power in a multitude of ways including the department of justice / attorney general / fbi / special council the list goes on... Just absolutely crazy.

Atrocious
Revisado: 11-19-19
This was really rambley and kind of boring honestly a waste of an hour. It was not comparable to her novels and I wanted and expected a lot more. Christie really sucks at writing an entertaining autobiography, it is really dry and I don't feel like I know much better than she started the book or what I learned of her in school. So boring,
