Fun Near-Space Adventure

Bought the book for the narrator RC Bray, but ended up really enjoying it. A fun little sci-fi novel with an intriguing albeit complicated storyline, and two really good characters surrounded by many others that have no depth whatsoever. But still fun. Some good intrigue, but a bit too much "all powerful being solves each impossible problem" writer escapism.

Another Incredible Chapter in the Arisen Story

The Arisen series has proven to be one of the most incredible zombie apocalypse stories I have ever read. The amazing attention to detail that Fuchs provides, and the outrageous storylines that are seemingly very realistic in an apocalyptic world, take the reader on a journey that is unparalleled. Loved the twists, but hating Alfa.

Absolutely loved the entire series if lectures. Even with a subject already so well known, these three Professors brought the stories to life, really brought the country to life through their lectures. I would love to be able to sit in on any of their real - life lectures. The references made to additional reading were exceptional and I am very grateful for them.

Have to admit that I really enjoy how Fuchs fills in some of the gaps of the overall story with these prequels. New characters, new stories, new aspects to the drama, but all linked in the overall story. Love it!!

Just another fantastic episode in the Arisen Series. The Alpha operators represent the people who actually would survive such an apocalyptic event. Such a captivating storyline. I hate having to wait for the next book.

Best Zombie Genre Ever

The ARISEN series has been the most intense, exciting zombie story I've ever enjoyed. For any fan of the genre, the proper mix of realism and fiction is what really hypes up the imagination, the "what if this really happened" fantasy that is at the heart if it's appeal. The operators of Alpha Team as well as Ficks MarSoc marines and even Jamiesons British Commandos show us that willpower and love will lead the way to victory over any obstacle.
The last two books really punch you in the gut, bringing the dire circumstances to the fore in every chapter. But " fight on" is the key message and it is played loud and long. I love the story, the characters are awesome and the end is still shrouded in a fog of Zulu angst. Can't wait for the next installment.
