Historia
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Fun & cute listen!
Revisado: 03-26-25
Was this predictable? Yes. Was it typical? Yes. But, also charming and sweet and all the things you like in a rom-com with a little mystery involved!

Historia
This is the story of how casual Tuesday meetings about friendship, leadership, mentoring, parenting, and marriage―and the sacred thread through it all―led to an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. When Dianne Derby arrived as a news anchor in Colorado Springs, she was hungry for approval, affirmation, and connections. She raced from one event to the next, capturing stories and sound bites. Everything changed when she met centenarian Jim Downing at a luncheon for World War II veterans.

Incredible story of legacy.

I was intrigued to read this book after hearing Diane’s story on a podcast. I remember as a local news anchor and wanted to hear more. The way she shares her story is vulnerable & kind. It’s inspiring & I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her mentor and his kindness toward those around him! Highly recommend!

Historia
Emma London never thought she had anything in common with her grandmother Genevieve London. The regal old woman came from wealthy and bluest-blood New England stock, but that didn't protect her from life's cruelest blows. Genevieve rose from the ashes of grief and built a fashion empire that was respected the world over, even when it meant neglecting her other son. When Emma's own mother died, her father abandoned her on his mother's doorstep. Genevieve took Emma in and reluctantly raised her - until Emma got pregnant her senior year of high school.

Historia
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

Historia
Punching well above their weight, Max and Markham set out to bring down a sinister organisation founded in the future—with a suspicious focus on the past. Max's focus is staying alive long enough to reunite with Leon and Matthew, alternately helped and hindered by St Mary's—who aren't always the blessing they like to think they are. But non-stop leaping around the timeline—from witnessing Magna Carta to disturbing a certain young man with a penchant for gunpowder—is beginning to take its toll. Is Max going mad? Or are the ghosts of the past finally catching up with her?

Predictable ending but still wonderful story!!
Revisado: 01-25-21
I thought this story was sweet & simple. The narrators were both excellent. I’ve read most of Rhys Bowen’s book and this one did not disappoint. There is no laughter in this book if you’re looking for some of the wit of her other writings but a worthwhile read!

Disappointing ending
Revisado: 08-01-20
I love the way that Kate Morton tells stories but I felt disappointed by the lack of detail at the end. I felt like there were way to many loose ends. However, the narrator was beautiful & I love the way the author goes to great lengths to describe the details and feelings of her characters.

Historia
This hilarious, heartfelt, and soaring adventure will delight fans of The Goonies and Indiana Jones. Performed as a 1930s radio drama, it’s bursting with humor for all ages, orchestral scoring, and some of the most talented voices on Broadway. When their ace pilot parents (and adorable puppy) mysteriously disappear over the Pacific, the Flamingo Sisters - Flo, Faye, and Franny - escape the clutches of their evil Uncle Freidrich (who believes girls should never pilot aeroplanes) and join a flying circus.
