Every single person who considers themselves a Christian in today’s society needs to listen to this book. It may not make you feel warm and fuzzy, but it challenges you to think in a way that is necessary. I finished it in 3 days which I never do with books. It was the direction I needed for so long. I highly recommend everyone read it.

If you would have told me that in the year 2020 I would stand at the White House podium and communicate with the American people as COVID-19 ravaged the globe and violent protests beset the nation, I would have told you that you were crazy. But Jesus Christ had this very plan for my life.

Dana’s book illustrates the good in people and shows that those with differing political ideals can still be friends. She brings to life something that is so rare now with kindness without being a pushover. I highly recommend this book.

Revisado: 03-03-21
I heard Polly speak about 10 years ago and never read (“listened”) to her book until now. It is so funny and real that any true traveler will connect with her adventures. The audible version makes it so fun to hear her actually voice describe the stories. If you are global minded and want a laugh, this book is it!

Historia
A year and a half into our marriage, I found out my husband had been having an affair with a 19-year-old for six months. I filed for divorce and left. Two weeks later I met a man, and we fell madly in love. It was a fairy-tale romance for a month and a half, and he convinced me to join him on a romantic month-long vacation in Italy. Forty-eight hours before we were supposed to get on a plane, he told me he needed to go by himself. I was devastated. So, I had a decision to make. Either stay home and be heartbroken, or go travel Europe for a month by myself.

Simply incredible!
Revisado: 01-27-21
This book was exactly what I needed. So much honesty, adventure and real ness of this crazy life. It’s inspiring me, a well seasoned traveler, to continue solo traveling and embrace the craziness. Thank you for sharing your journey, I can’t express how much I needed a real story like this and how much it’s motivated me. I hope it inspires others to embrace uncertainty and learn that doing things solo allows you to meet so many incredible people. Also, a good reminder that the end of a relationship in your late 20s isn’t the end of your world, it’s just the beginning. Cheers to drinking a self love cocktail everyday!

Historia
Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the Black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American dream.

A New Perspective that Everyone Should Hear
Revisado: 01-18-21
This book is simply amazing. It brought to light so many things I had never thought of and Candace gives a fresh perspective that everyone should at least listen to, no matter your race. Her well researched opinion and explanations make the book extremely educational while still keeping the reader’s attention. I truly wish everyone would read this book and consider new perspectives. Every politician in DC needs to read this book and take notes! Candace, thank you for sharing your insights even with all the backlash you get. You at least taught this reader many new things.

Historia
Graciousness is practicing the arts of kindness, thoughtfulness, good manners, humanity, and basic decency. As a bonus, it makes your life and even the world (or at least the room you're in) much lovelier. It's not about memorizing every rule of traditional etiquette to a T (though there is so much there to explore!) or spending all your time maintaining a spotless house. It's about approaching the world with compassion, conviction, self-confidence, and wholeheartedness, whether you're at the Met Gala or saying good morning to a convenience store clerk.

Wish I could give this to so many people
Revisado: 09-25-20
This book is absolutely perfect at explaining tips that some may think are common knowledge but once in the real world are forgotten by so many. I wish there was a gracious way to give this book to so many people in the business world who tend to forget about others or simply need a manners reminder. Also, the author’s reading of it makes the book even more special and engaging. I highly recommend this book to absolutely everyone no matter how well mannered you are.

In Full Upright and Locked Position, former FAA chief counsel and senior aviation policy official Mark Gerchick unravels the unseen forces and little-known facts that have reshaped our air travel experience since September 11, 2001. With wry humor and unique insight, Gerchick takes us past the jargon, technicalities, and all-is-well platitudes to expose the new normal of air travel: from the packed planes and myriad hassles of everyday flying to the alchemy of air fares, the airlines' endless nickel-and-diming, and the elusive hope of escape from steerage.
