Narrator is terrible

Overall this story was predictable and I struggled to get through it. I go through a lot of audio books and it’s not often that I stop a book. Somehow I made myself finish this book but with difficulty. The narrator was flat and robotic at times and I think that’s what ultimately killed it for me. A better narrator still couldn’t fix this mediocre story- I’m actually surprised how many people rated this so highly. I rarely fill out reviews and for me to take time to says a lot.

Although I enjoyed this book, why would audible escape have the last book with Scottish narrator (which I enjoyed much more than this narrator) then the free version of this book with the American narrator- it actually also narrated with the Scottish narrator also but requires a credit for that version. Maybe it wouldn’t bother me as much if the last book available on escape was this same narrator. I just had a hard time with her pronouncing Epona different than the last 4 books. Dear audible escape just stay consistent.

I’ve enjoyed the whole series and this book didn’t disappoint. The books all follow a similar format and are easy, enjoyable reads.

Overall I liked this series. While I did not dislike this deviation from the usual focus on Charlie and Lincoln, it was a little disappointing. It did tie up loose ends with the other characters. I thought maybe we would get a more explicit wedding night scene in the beginning of this book since the last book kinda lamely ended- maybe it’s just me but to read book after book with sexual build up between those two and not get a proper sex scene was disappointing. Overall the narration was excellent as usual and it’s still really enjoyable. Like the series as a whole and would still recommend it to others.

Good story not the best narrator

I definitely liked the story and normally don't get too picky with narrators but almost every male voice was on this audiobook was weird, nasal and just kinda ridiculous. Thank goodness they got one of my favorite narrators for the sequel and not this one.
