Historia
Her role as Alexis Carrington Colby in Dynasty brought her to peak stardom, a role which might have been created for the tempestuous, strong-willed, and passionate woman that she is. As might be expected, in this memoir, she tells the truth; from her romantic adventures - sometimes desirable, sometimes disastrous - with some of the most famous and interesting men in the world, to the inside story of her fascinating and erratic acting career. Joan Collins candidly divulges her past imperfect in a book that is, like herself, outspoken, witty, daring, and full of life.

Always like when the author reads
Revisado: 10-14-22
Hearing Joan Collins read her story really makes it come alive. One question I so wish we could get an answer to - how many times did she have to see all the red flags of Maxwell Reed (including him drugging and date raping her) to stop the relationship?! She goes into much more detail here. I kept just asking her back - what the heck?!

Historia
When recently retired DHS frontline officer and intelligence expert Philip Haney bravely tried to say something about the people and organizations that threatened the nation, his intelligence information was eliminated, and he was investigated by the very agency assigned to protect the country. The national campaign by the DHS to raise public awareness of terrorism and terrorism-related crime known as If You See Something, Say Something effectively has become If You See Something, Say Nothing.

Must hear his story
Revisado: 07-16-20
Every true American needs to hear Mr. Haney’s story. When you will do, you will within the first chapters believe that he was killed and did not commit suicide. His story needs to be heard.

Historia
It's the summer of 2008. For the past decade, Nick and Bryony Skinner and their four children have ridden high on the economic boom, but their luck is about to run out. Suddenly, the privileged family finds itself at the center of a financial scandal: their Central London house is besieged by the press, Nick disappears, and Bryony and the children become virtual prisoners in their own home. And Ali, their trusted nanny, watches it all. As the babysitter, she brings a unique insider-outsider perspective to the family, seeing far more than even the family itself is capable of.

Historia
The longest reigning British monarch and female sovereign in history, Queen Victoria was a figure of profound paradox who has mystified historians for over a century. Now in this magisterial biography, A.N. Wilson rebukes the conventional wisdom about her life - that she was merely a "funny little woman in a bonnet" who did next to nothing - to show she was in fact intensely involved in state affairs despite a public façade of inaction.

The reader makes this unbearable
Revisado: 10-24-15
The reader of this audiobook is so dull and lifeless. I don't know if I will finish it.
